Sadly you have to take into account that there are millions of people still calling COVID-19 a hoax and tons of other people saying they WON'T vaccinate against this "hoax"...some even doing so to avoid being chipped.

The other problem is that we're still figuring out what exposure really means. There's the obvious COVID-19 sicknesses (or lack thereof for the lucky), but we're finding out DAILY how it affects co-morbidities AND that it has some long-term effects that vary greatly from patient to patient (as well as the exposed).

There's still a ton of work to be done related to this virus that the scientists and doctors need to do, be trusted to do, and to be shared to the public.

Nothing wrong at all. I was genuinely curious as I haven't stayed on top of vaccine news.
Unfortunately most of the vaccine news is far off the mark.

There's a process that's not been done in under several years to date. The largest commodity needed for safe and accurate testing of vaccines is time. That's for development, testing (this includes efficacy and side-effects, the latter requiring months to years alone), manufacture, dissemination, tracking of inoculation, and continued study of long term side-effects.

Rushing any or skipping any of these steps presents a very real danger to the health and welfare of the population at large. Right now millions of our fellow citizens are vocally NOT on board with taking care of each other. So, you have to trust the people making the regulations, the folks running the venues, and your fellow concert goers. Right now two of groups have not earned my trust.

It's just absurd to say Jimi Thing has no place in a DMB show, I don't even like Jimi Thing and I really don't like the never ending covers after it, have said they should end it with WWBOM multiple times. Jimi Thing whether you love it or hate it is a DMB staple and always has been, shows aren't make or break because of it.
Central Park could of had a better set list comparing it to other 2003 shows and Listener Supported really? Tons of better 1999 shows to choose from. Substitute The Dreaming Tree or Cry Freedom any day over Jimi thing and the show is a million times better. It is okay to disagree with someone i hope you enjoy your shows with Jimi thing, i will go get a beer take a pee or just sit back and relax and smoke my mind and feel better for a small time. Ants Marching has no place at a DMB show, there's other songs I'd rather get

Complaining about Jimi Thing when we regularly get ED and SU songs is mind boggling to me...

Sorry, but how do you know they were on a boat “all day” and didn’t care about the show that night, based off of a social media post? Even if they truly were, that doesn’t mean the show is going to be mailed in. Haha

It certainly wasn’t the best N2 ever but I wouldn’t say the inclusion of songs like lover lay down, pig, say goodbye, grace is gone, JTR, #40 and Blue Water teases is mailing it in. I can think far worse set list decisions Dave could have made.

It’s a really easy and common mistake because the contractions “would’ve”, “could’ve” and “should’ve” when spoken sound just like “would of”, “could of”, etc.

This is how the Mandela effect theory started. People thought it was Sex IN the City instead of Sex and the City, because it sounds like Sex ‘N the City. Same with Interview with A Vampire, sounds like you’re saying Interview with THE Vampire.

Now, as far as the Bernstein Bears go... I got no answers for that anomaly.

We’re already starting to figure out how to do sporting events and some other live acts in September 2020. I have no doubt, things will not be back to normal by next summer, if ever. But I think they will find a way to make live events a possibility in the next year. There will surely be smaller capacities and other rules in place, but people already have their tickets, so that will be interesting.

I don't see how 20,000 seat amphitheaters could possibly have concerts in 2021. They'd have to come up with a pretty creative plan for DMB to tour next summer.

Makes me wonder if they might shift shows from something like Mo Sun BACK to Hartford, but only let 10K or less in, distance the seating, no pit/rail, masks, etc.

I don't know if it's possible logistically....but, I wonder if football/baseball stadiums become more common for concerts in 2021.

There's a pretty small list of artists that can routinely sell out 70,000-seat Lucas Oil Stadium, for instance, but what if instead of two nights of 20,000 people at Deer Creek, we get two or three nights of 20,000 per night at Lucas Oil?

Again, not sure if it's feasible or makes sense for bands/venues/LiveNation financially, but as we're seeing football start to come back with limited fans, I am wondering if it's a possibility.

Even the NFL model isn't exactly working though, and there are still a bunch of stadiums that wont be allowing any fans in attendance this year.

    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/t...chiefs-opener/

Its a good thought, and probably a more likely scenario than an amphitheater as far as legit spacing goes, but it just seems like a stretch at this point (especially financially at a stadium). Im sure they could raise ticket prices 5x and make up the financials but is there really a demand for something like that?

Like grill said, limited capacity, no pit, segregated lawn areas, require masks. I think that honestly will be what concerts look like going forward for a while. You’d be talking probably 5,000 people or less at most venues unless you do stadiums, like whitey said.

And it’s not just DMB that will be needing to tour next summer. Tons of acts and the venues as well are dependent upon it to happen, so I’m sure there will be enough of a push to get live events back.

Yeah, it’s dependent upon the local government. And the same will be said for concerts next year I’d imagine. I highly doubt DMB would sign off on a tour if it was still controversial.

It is still going to cost roughly the same amount to put on the concert though, right? Sure, less people in attendance means you can have less employees working but is it really that big of a cut into whatever that magic number is?

For the sake of discussion, if they are only able to have 5,000 people at an amphitheater how much will they have to raise those ticket prices to make it feasible? 2x / 3x / 5x?

Your best bet of getting any kind of concert next year is at stadiums only. And don’t even hold your breath on that.

I’ve got a thousand dollars held up at TM for Gorge tickets next year. Given the information we know now, and what we’ll learn as we head into 2021, I wonder if they open another period of refunds.

I should’ve taken the refund earlier but I have pits and premier camping... didn’t want to give that up. At this point though, I don’t care anymore.

This is how I feel. I would be absolutely shocked if DMB played at SPAC this summer.
