I'm glad I held off on the box-set and originals until this came around. The mastering is superb and the "All The Rest" bonus tracks are really nice. The packaging is great.

Couldn't be happier with this release. Probably the happiest I've been with a non-Audiophile label title since Crash.
I decided to get the Ultra Deluxe set (the expensive one) and it’s amazing. Easily one of the best box sets in my collection. It’s apparent how much care went into it. The packaging, bonus extra stuff & the records themselves are all so high quality. Very pleased with it.

Also, heads up to Apple Music users... the set is available to stream and sounds really good for a streaming file.

Broken Record podcast did a great interview with his daughter (who curated the boxset) where they talk about the album and what it was like growing up with Tom as dad. Def worth a listen.

Really enjoyed that interview. Forgot that Tom had his family life already pre-Damn The Torpedo's era success. This Wildflowers & All The Rest release has been a fantastic moment for any big Petty fan.

Hi all, Anyone know where I might be able to download or stream Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers from The Fillmore, 2/7/97? It’s the greatest and I can’t find it anywhere.

Can I get a Proudest Monkey as well? I went discogs diving the other day to try and find a DVD copy of that show but they were all in the $50+ range for good quality.

My dad used to have this DVD and it used to be on YouTube sans a couple songs. I guess they cracked down on it.

Finally got my vinyl today along with some merch I bought. The vinyl is top notch quality in terms of packaging and care that went into it.

That said, avoid the merch. I bought a hoodie that was $65 and it is barely Walmart quality screen printing. I'll give it one or two washes before it starts to peel.

in reading the Warren Zanes semi-autobiography, I like the whole Stan Lynch dynamic. Part of me thinks he's a douche and a part of me finds him kinda funny.

That book is so good. Stan sounds like a a complete goof and pain in the ass. As Tom got more serious about the business of his music, stan obviously had to go. Steve is the exact opposite of Stan. Total pro and a human metronome.

New country tribute album out June 21. Looks like a mixed bag but I’m interested in hearing Stapleton, Jamey Johnson, Willie and Lukas and especially Steve Earles ‘Yer So Bad’ and Rhiannon Giddons ‘Don’t Come Around Here No More”

Me too. He's the one celebrity that I truly miss having him around. Other deaths have made me sad but this one really lingers. HIs music was just something else.

I saw him on that final tour and distinctly remember how high Tom seemed that night. You could hear it in his voice and the things he said. I laughed it off thinking, "It's Tom Petty, he probably smoked a fat joint before coming on stage." Little did I know how much worse it actually was. Really skews my perception of that show now.

That’s funny, wife and I saw him in May of 2017 and thought the complete opposite. The show was fantastic from start to finish. The only thing I noticed was his left hand shook quite a bit.

I remember he kept going on and on about how great Austin is and how it’s always treated him so well and how much he has always loved playing here. Looking back it was almost like he knew and those compliments now seem really poignant but also really sad.

I agree. I thought the 2017 show was great. Mary Jane second song of the night. Midset run of It's Good to Be King, Crawling Back to You, Wildflowers, Learning to Fly and Yer So Bad...what a run!

In retrospect I really regret not getting to see him more than the two times I did (Atlanta 2010 and Memphis 2017). Absolutely fantastic performer and songwriter. His music is such a comfort place for me.

2017 was the first and only time I saw him. Wish I had seen him more. He’s in that pantheon of musicians like McCartney, Billy Joel, and Elton that can do a 2-3 hour show and it’s just hit, hit, hit, hit, hit… all night long.

Beyond that he was just such an amazing figure to have in the music business. The world needs more Tom Pettys.
