so when are we thinking series b instants will be announced? I had my money on yesterday...

only thing I can think of is they might be last minute trying to schedule a Dave and Tim show at CMAC to announce at the same time.

I really don't think you'll see a D&T CMAC show this year - CMAC is part of a college campus - kinda unlikely they will hold a concert once college is back in session with whatever school restrictions may be in place....

I would think there is a greater chance of a D&T show at CMAC in mid August ( before college starts) around the time of the Syracuse DMB show.

Anyone have advice on getting to/from SPAC from the Saratoga hotels? I feel like Ubers/Lyfts will be tough to come by before or after the shows, and I really don't want to make someone in our group be the DD.

I do remember the first year they did the show at CMAC the announcement was a month before the show.

It makes most sense in mid-august but that window for announcing is closing real fast

so you can feasibly walk to the venue if you give yourself enough time or spend the day in town before the show, and walk over from town, but after the show it's quite a far walk. that said, it is a bit of a shit show to get a cab or an uber after the show, so you might be better off walking to town and catching something there.

That's too far to walk. I think you'd have no problem getting an uber over to the show (bring a disposable cooler with ya if you wish). My suggestion would be to walk back downtown after the show (still a haul but more doable) and hit up some bars for a bit and then catch an uber back to the hotel after that.

Thank you for the insight -- you confirmed my assumption that it would be too far to walk. Are there usually lots of people walking from SPAC into town after the show? I assume the bars post-show are pretty fun?

the thing is it can take as long to get a cab as it would to walk to town.

and it gets packed downtown after shows, there's a couple streets full of bars and everyone of them will fill up, lots of fun to be had.

In my experiences Ubers/Lyfts are tough after the shows, and will probably be even worse this year. They used to have taxi's that would circle around after the shows, not sure if they still do that though.
