Agreed! It's going to be a wonderful hot summer night in Jersey! Disappointed that it's a mid week - but they know Jersey will sell out on a Wednesday night!

Going for the first time this year and driving in from Cleveland. Don’t know the area at all, any decent hotels to look for close to the venue and with places like a Target near by?

Stay is Asbury Park. It's about 20 minutes from the venue, but is a super cool place to hang out with great bars and a really relaxed beach scene. Definitely still a music town.

There's a target on the way to Holmdel, plus you'll be heading north on the garden state parkway on the way to the show and will dodge any traffic coming from NYC during the rush hour.

It's Jersey so the crowd is pretty awesome! Lots of good people. Just don't sit on the lawn if you want to actually hear the music. Lots of talking and puking on the lawn and the sound never seems to carry well when the lawn is packed.

I’d consider Red Bank too. About half the distance and similar bar scene.

I’m biased, but Jones Beach is a bitch to get to, and doesn’t sell booze.

PNC is your classic shed, but on the smaller side.

Got my request in. Can’t wait. Dave said “I like this place” last year, and he usually says that about venues he puts some extra effort in. I think the Dave and Tim set showed that.

They’re very loud, but that could be due to the closed roof. Either way it creates a great atmosphere.

Definitely Holmdel over Jones Beach. While Jones Beach has a nice view of the water, and it's easy to park/exit, Holmdel has the better crowd/atmosphere...and setlists!

I post this every year, but it looks like it’ll be some people’s first time here so I’ll post again.

If you’re coming from up north on the N.J. Turnpike, I highly suggest parking in lot 3. Ask a traffic director and he’ll point you to the right place. Park as far to the end as possible and you’re only a few feet from the ramp to the Garden State Parkway.

Short walk to the venue, and easy exit.

Pros and cons to both. I’m LI born and raised but live in NJ now. I tend to go to both venues most years.

Unless you live close by or east of the venue, Jones Beach is a bitch to get to. I drive from midtown and it’s typically 2+ hours.

Jones Beach doesn’t have a strict 11 PM curfew. A few years ago (‘15 maybe), they had a late start and Dave mentioned something about getting delayed, I recall they played till about 11:45 that night. PNC is an 11:00 hard stop no matter what. Sometimes the encores seem a little “short”.

Unless you’re sitting close at Jones Beach, the sound is usually worse than inside at PNC. And if it’s windy, the sound can really suffer.

Spending the day at the beach before the show is fun.

Be careful tailgating at JB. It’s a state park with a heavy police presence. Then again, PNC is also patrolled by state troopers.

The Brass Monkey cover at JB (‘12 maybe) was just one of memorable songs played there. I think, during the years when they played two nights there on a tour, there was more variety/rarities.

Planning to attend the show with my wife...

Quick note:I attended D&T in Holmdel in June and had a truly fantastic time. I've been to ~50 dave shows and can say the pnc crowd last summer was one of the best. People went to the show to listen to good music. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of true fans. I was sitting lower pavilion so it may have been attributed to my section. Make sure you pay the $20 or so for VIP parking because it's a quick walk to the venue and the crowds are pleasant.

I’m really just taking a guess. There were 2 options for reserved and I picked the one on top.

I put in for the lower lowers and got a message saying there weren't enough seats to meet the demand. Therefore I am assuming I got the upper lowers. Those seats were in the low 300's a couple of years ago and were fine.

So I just tried to get tickets through the Citi Presale and all that was available was lawn seats. Lawn seats? WTF!? I've never had issues with Citi Presale in the past and was always able to get a seat - maybe not the best seat, but as long as I am not on the lawn, I don't really care. Going to have to try my luck with general onsale on Friday. Ugh! Wish me luck, gang!
