Want to give a big, slow, clap to Richard Sherman.

As a player, Sherman constantly spoke out about how Thursday night games were dangerous and bad for the players. And now, he gets a big fat check for host those games as a commentator.

He's a very smart dude, and knows what he's doing, which makes it worse to me.

Ol man drop has always been against TNF. Player health is absolutely the biggest reason for that. But the lack of rest/ability to plan also leads to a subpar product.

So this is part of the SCAT test that doctors use to assess NFL players, and either clear them to return to games or keep them off the field, in the event of a head injury. Again, they're not testing for concussions. They're testing for symptoms.

This section is relevant to Tua.

I’m right there with you but it’s not going away. The enormous price difference in not only the initial cost but the general maintenance costs as well…me thinks it’s here to stay.

If half the teams in the league can afford and maintain natural grass, the other half certainly can too.

Lol at pretending cost is a deterrent for real grass. They’re NFL teams, they can afford fucking grass.

How do you expect teams to be able to afford to maintain real grass when they’re giving away free small sodas left and right?????

“Can Afford” vs “Willing to pay” decision making plays a part in how billionaires become billionaires. Might not be right but cash is king homie.

Now IF the NFLPA starts filing litigation against teams using artificial turf AND they start winning, then owners will have no choice but to reconsider to mitigate future losses. But I don’t see that happening.

As long as these stadiums want to have concerts, hockey, monster truck rally’s etc during the off-season they will never go back to real grass.

Money fixes a lot of problems. Roll the grass in and out like they do in Vegas and Arizona.

The product isn’t great and higher rate of injury

id have to see some actual data, which im sure is out there but I don't want to look up. It just seems like playing 2 games in 5 days, and sometimes 3 games in 11 days , isn't too healthy

There’s gotta be data out there, it was a talking point during the negotiations that led to the 17 games / shortened preseason. It’s one of things the NFLPA is strongly against, and the owners are strongly in favor of.
