Everybody Wake Up is my favorite SU song.
I don't get all the hype about the 2000 tour. It's good stuff, but my favs are 1996, 2008 and 2010.
I think Bartender and LITHOG are waaaaaaaaay to long live. To me they really fizzle out and bring me way down. 3 minutes of penny whistle is just too much.
I don't like Baby Blue.......at all.
I wear tour shirts to shows.
Give me Let You Down and Pay For What You Get over Lover Lay Down any day of the week.
Angel is good, when it's under 5 minutes.
Smooth Rider is fun, when it's over 5 minutes.

To be honest, I never listened to LT 7 all the way through until you said it was one of your quintessential shows. I got it a long time ago and only listened to Seek Up and Say Goodbye and didn't care for them at the time so I shelved it...til recently.

-love 2000. I'm not as high on 2008 as everyone else is (doesn't help when LeRoi dies the day of your first show that year )
-I'm cool with Bartender. Wholeheartedly agree on LITHOG. 8 min max. Its just aimless playing/soloing in that extra 8-10 they give it
-Not big on Baby Blue either
-LLD is one of my favorites. PFWYG is criminally underrated around here
-The only version of Angel I've even remotely enjoyed http://www.sendspace.com/file/q94zce (its only 4 min, then there's some bs after)
-Smooth Rider...the thing I don't get...is what is so heinously, dreadfully awful about it? Its a blues tune. Hard not to tap your foot to a live version (I like LT6's and early 2008) If it was on Some Devil, I doubt there'd be much bitching

LT 2 is a 2004 show with a fantastic set

LT 3 is a 2000 show and is the best sounding released show IMO.

you and i have very similar tastes in released shows. LT2 and 3 are my favorite LTs. Other than central park, LT3 is my favorite release

Haha. Probably the same looks my friends and I got at C'Ville in 2010 at Starr Hill when were bored waiting on posters to arrive. We went around asking people how awesome would it be if DMB played Mother Father that night. The nicest responses were "well I guess i'd take it. It's rare and I've never heard it"

I legitimately love Mother Father. That one on the WH disc...amazing.

EWU is ok....I thought some of the live versions in 2005 were kinda cool.
They were on top of their game in 2000. It's not my favorite tour, though.
I love LITHOG, and love how they extend it - love every minute of that one. Bartender too. I love the pennywhistle.

yeah, Bela's breakdown solo in that Two Step is awesome. And Dave's vocals on that one are really, really strong...and Typ sitch > Minarets is wonderful. Too bad they cut that segue onto different discs - my only gripe with Lt7.

I liked some of Butch's scats on Jimi. The one from my first show ever has always stuck with me (09/15/06)
I like the Warehouse Woo intro. Obviously only when the band plays it that way, not when the crowd awkwardly Woos to the UTTAD or Passion intro
I love After Her
I like DMB/2Pac and DMB/Eminem remixes...especially Big Eyed Pac and American Business
I'm not a fan of Stay openers (2003)

I was scrapping pretty hard to find things that could be possibly flameable.

most of my DMB listening is non-released. At this point I'd say it's 75% non-releases, 25% releases. When I go for jogs I usually listen to releases.

I used to HAAATE rap, but ever since I've got in college I've been able to dig some rappers (wiz, jayz, eminem mainly). Though I always used to listen to 2pac and Nelly so much better than that country music bullshit, haha.

Nope, not a fan. I used to listen to rap a little bit my senior year in high school and in college quite a bit. And i look back at all the cds i bought and music i had and I feel like there's a lot of time and $$ wasted there.

If i had to pick a poison, i'd take it over country though.

There are some older rap songs and albums i can still listen to. Its few and far between. But that's more than i can say for country, for which i've never owned even an illegally downloaded track.
