If 2013 gets a release, they should be really nice to us and let us pick

If it's a 2013 release, they should go with Blossom. 8 songs from the Big 3. Only 2 from BW. Nancies>Warehouse opener. Kill the Preacher. Hell of an encore. Great energy from the crowd and the band. And Dave's voice sounds great on the tapes. Would be the first official recording from this venue as well.

EDIT: Almanac says first Nancies>Warehouse opener since 1996. That's pretty awesome.

If any 04 show is gonna be releases, GGT has to be on it. Thats a good one, but the lack of GGT would cause me to skip it.

Still my highest rated show this year, so far. Such a great set.

Yeah, and they could put it on a WH disc.

I just love the randomness of the Tampa 04 show. Imagine seeing The Stone close out the encore. That's an epic way to end a show.

I'm not purchasing any release after 2005 unless it was a show I was at. Not saying they shouldn't release a 2013 show... But rarity doesn't matter when youve 20 years of a catalog. There just aren't any individual shows that measure up to the 2004 and prior stuff. I reserve the right to rethink that on occasion, but in general, I have yet to find an exception to that rule. If there is a good version of a song at a show. Pop it on a warehouse disk or other compilation.

There have been a ton of shows with some really good performances this year. It would be really hard to pass on some of the shows from this year. I would buy probably any one of them

That's cool. I'm just not going to buy a show because there are a few songs that stand out enough to warrant getting another show with classic songs that we can get better versions of already. If I buy a LT / DMBLive or whatever, it's going to have to really stand out.

At this point, I want them to release a DM&F show from the 03/04 run. With all the covers it may not be feasable though.

Also, I'll probably buy any D&T release. That shit is always money.

They ended a show in 2000 that I was at with it. It was pretty disappointing. It just didn't end the show with a bang. To be fair, it hadn't become as 'big' as it is now... but I'll try to listen to that on line or something. I can see them working up the outro to make it bigger, but I just have a hard time as seeing that as an energetic closer with how it softens at the end before the final crescendo.

Don't get me wrong.. it's a top 5 DMB song for me. Love it.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. But, personally, I can't think of a better end to a show. My number 1 DMB song. The quiet fade out and then Bang! The full band comes back in for the fast reprise. Perfect ending, IMO.

I agree with this 100%. I don't even think N2's encore was as special as people made it out to be.

^^ disagree. The first two aren't weak and we still don't have a live rooftop released. So 7 is the only bummer for me as I enjoy Gaucho, but I know some don't.

Also, every set from this year will have at least 3 songs that are "weak". Honestly almost any show from any era has songs I consider weaker.

But the fact that it's a run of 5 songs compared to having a weak song placed in between 2 monsters makes it more noticeable.

Hartford N1 and Camden N2 have at most 3 weak songs throughout the entire set

IMO, only Save Me and Seven are weak. Captain is a great song and I think we've only got one other live release of it. Gaucho isn't bad (although we've got one live release), and I love Rooftop. Blossom is a kick ass show, perfect for release.

I'd take Camden N2 over anything else. Great show, great energy, and the setlist was amazing. And I was there.

Im not saying Captain is a bad song. The run as a whole is subpar. In comparison to another good show (Hartford N1) Captain is between Why I Am & BBN. I would take that 3 song run over the run of Save Me, Captain, Seven.

If we are talking anything from this year, these are the only candidates:

    Blossom
    Harford 1
    Deer Creek 1
    Camden 2

    Honorable mention:
    Mansfield 1
    Bristow

...a lot of requests on this thread are simply due to the "I was there" factor opposed to the shows actually constituting the best of the tour.

Oh, and the poster saying the 5 song run from Blossom is weak, is a fool. You literally pick the only minor blemish from an amazing show and it includes Captain, Save Me and Rooftop (a great new live song). Seven and Gaucho are miserable but you're generally going to get a one or two bad song run at every single show.
