Ok. While maybe that’s not the right example, the version on YouTube is really good, but still not SBD. I just don’t think released stuff moves the needle the same way unreleased stuff would.

I guess my point is that the band has not made these drive-ins an event or “appointment viewing” in the way that Phish has. Not saying Dave needs to give everybody a three-course meal but I think dmb hasn’t really given anybody a reason to tune in on Wednesdays at 8pm when you can just listen/watch it on your own time.

Don’t care if I’m spoiling it... this show has the best Shotgun ever and it’s not close.

Trax 7 is all I want in video format. Selfishly if I got this, I wouldn’t care if they did 2019 continuously after it.

Re: Dave Matthews Band "Drive-In" - Every Wednesday At 8!

Clearly no one cares, but my notion of spreading the love around to different venues was that quite a few of places they've played over the years have had some great shows. Part of what can make these Drive In shows exciting is if it's a show you've been to or maybe your favorite venue. So with all of the options and amazing venues why double dip before doing a SPAC, Gorge, MSG, etc. show. There are great sets to be had elsewhere and you can appeal to more of the audience by mixing it up more. That said, it's obvious that at this point they're seemingly uninterested in the effort of editing any footage if the audio hasn't already been mixed outside of the first show in the series and the first WPB show in the series.

I didn't think this would need explanation or cause any level of derision. Not losing any sleep mind you, it's all good, but as I lay me down to sleep I decided to 'splain.

While I understand AND we've watched and enjoyed every show so far, the band/mgmt not having the shows be all previously unreleased seems like a missed opportunity to make these events more special for the fans. Right along with not releasing any music this summer/fall (although I'm still hopin'). I'm ready to through money at them for unreleased studio cuts...they don't need to record anything new...at least not right now...

I hope going forward for the next couple weeks it's a mix of '18/'19 and early 00's

I'm fine with 18/19 if it's mixed well. Mixed well for me means:

    - Bass is surrounding & prominent
    - Carter is loud in the mix, especially his snare drum
    - Highs are tuned down a bit on the guitar so that it blends better with the mix
    - Jeff's mid-low range is enhanced and he is further up in the mix than previously

I do think we're lacking in both the '94 -> '02 range, as well as in the '11 -> '16 range. Hope we get some DMB 2 Sets shows soon

It's funny because I agree the mix has been a bit off and everything you want for the mix is what stands out to me seeing the current lineup, just want them to sound like them

I was just listening to a couple songs from tonight’s show and there’s a certain one from 2006 that I really cannot believe has never been on an album.

Really liked Shotgun, SUAD, IIHIA and thought it was well mixed. My favorite part of the show was how Dave sang

"Send your mother screaming down the hall, baby why did you not just talk to me my love, what are you thinking up there"

Really strong when he went into the last two words on that phrase

I just tweeted in response to Gorge Crew's query about favorite moment from tonight and for me it was Loving Wings. I love the song and have never seen it live. The simple "non-progression" is like a blank canvas for a soloist and Roi was masterful as always.

Best Shotgun I've heard to date. That group of songs that came out of the Veillette Gryphon shines a light on how an instrument, especially a unique one, can inspire and help a songwriter discover ideas that would might not have ever be discovered on any other instrument.

I forgot last night's show included the best IIHIA ever. They should bring it back and play it the exact way it was played at this show.

Really enjoyed the show. anything with Roi is welcome, just to get to see/hear him play again. throughout the whole show i just kept thinking how Roi was always "in the pocket." everything he played just fit so perfectly

this is my weirdest show stat: i didn't see Grey Street until it closed the encore of my 12th show. crazy, right?

i've since seen it at 3 of my last 4

Just rewatched both A Dream So Real and Shotgun.

I'd never heard A Dream So Real before last night. Love that song and wish they still played it. Deserves to be on an album, but it also deserved to have a Roi solo on that album, so oh well :/

    That Shotgun was absolutely incredible.

How is that possible? With live streamed shows the band or with audience live streams they have done in the past?
