Correct, no airfare. Flights could be pricey since it’s a holiday weekend.

It's all GA. You get an RFID wristband that gets you into the show grounds each day.

We took the kids this past summer and as a resort, the Hard Rock is outstanding. Lots of stuff to do and amazing rock paraphernalia all over the resort. Staff were great and so was the food.

As said though, there is no beach to the open ocean but a lagoon. If you enjoy swimming in the ocean this is not the place for you. Also, a couple times over the week we were there the lagoon filled up overnight with seaweed. The staff worked their ass off in the heat to clear it out by hand.

It was the only disappointment we had for the week as we love hanging out in the ocean when away.

    Couple questions:

Is the beer cans or draft at Barcelo?

Did the give out posters for the show last year and everyone got one?

Hahahah. These are my priorities. Beer and posters.

Posters are limited runs just like all shows. Plan to wait in a loooooong line if you want one, or you can get lucky ordering one the day of the show on the Warehouse website if you sign on three seconds after receiving the email.

The nut jobs who want the rail spend the entire weekend in line (I'm not joking).

My wife and I show up shortly before the show starts and generally stand wherever we choose. You can get near the front with enough persistence but you really don't need to

When purchasing a package is it more useful to go through the warehouse or wait for public on sale? Btw we are wanting to choose Barcelo Maya.

I think the advantages of going thru the warehouse are 1) you get first dibs at whatever resort and room you want and 2) you get "early entry" into the venue, although nearly every person there is a warehouse member

As the other poster said people are in line all weekend for rail.

We strolled in at 6-7 each night and were close enough. It’s around 5,000 people so there is plenty of room, and they added screens last year

If you’re 100% in might as well book through the WH. WH members get early entry, there is in and out as well. You could go in and get a poster, eat, run back to your room (food at shows is very good).

Is the Warehouse just the presale or can you buy through them after the regular Onsale date?

There are always some in the crowd. But this is nothing like a pit experience in the us. It is fantastic. We strolled in at the middle to end of openers. Stood about row 20 under a palm tree. Not kidding. They have serves bringing modelo on draft and tequila all night through the crowd. But we only ran into a few who decided to over do it. The daytime snorkel excursion was a bit over the top but we just people watched. Staying at the barcelo palace gets you reservations at good restaurants

I’ll chime in here and say that depending on where you post up in the crowd you can definitely be surrounded by drunk assholes. We tried to get a decent spot a few rows of people off the stage for night one and the drunk asshatery was unbearable all night. Some moron got dragged out by his friends after trying to start a fight and we never saw him again. The second two nights we found a nice little spot about halfway back in the crowd and off to the side and still had a fabulous view of the stage and superb sound minus the drunk dick bags.

Also the first night last year there were at least 6 musicians on stage for part of main set. Awesome.

We never attempted to be much more than row 20. No real issues except night 1, and it was easy to move away. The folks waiting in line all day are served all day so there you go. I was in the ocean.

Like any show, there a few drunk assholes but its so easy to move around and find a nice spot

Nothing like being in a normal pit at Gorge, Alpine, Northerly etc.

It's definitely an older and pretty die hard crowd. I'm 31 and when I went two years ago I was one of the youngest there. Never had any issue with people getting too drunk or out of control.

I can't speak for all resorts and rooms, but the base room for 5 nights for 2 people at Barcelo is exactly the same for 2018 and 2019 ($4789)

Difference in opinions...I currently prefer D&T in a small venue over full band without Boyd with Buddy’s organ

Is Barcelo Palace part of Barcelo Maya Resort? If you stay at the Palace can you still walk to the shows or would you need to shuttle? This isn't fully clear to me on the site...

It’s the same resort complex. The resort stretches a long distance down the beach. The concert venue is at one extreme end of the resort and the Palace is at the opposite end. You can walk or take a shuttle to get to the concert.

How do they separate the stage from the standard customers staying at the resort? We are planning our trip with another couple. Only 2 of 4 will buy D & T package and the other 2 are booking directly through hotel. Will we all be able to spend time together in pools, see the pool shows, etc., or is that part of the resort completely blocked off for the 3 days? Will they be able to see or hear from a distance?
