Information on Buying Tickets

Hey, I know this may not be the best forum to post, and I apologize, but it didn't look like my particular question really would better fit in either "Ticket Exchange" or "DMB Tour," so I'll try here. Please forgive me if I'm wrong, and I'll post in the appropriate place.

I just have questions about buying tickets in general. I haven't bought tickets for a show since 2002, and when I went to dmband.com, and clicked on "Tickets" for the show I want, it sent me to livenation, which in turn sent me to ticketmaster. Then, it asked if I wanted $40 tickets, but said they weren't available, but told me I could buy them anyway. It also asked if I wanted VIP pass to avoid lines.

Can someone please explain to me some of these things? Can I actually buy $40 DMB tickets to the Charlotte, NC show (7.21.2010)?

Is it safe to have them mailed standard Post Office?

Is the $5 VIP thing (to "avoid lines and hassles") worth it?

Thanks, and sorry for such dumb questions, but I get wary of buying things online sometimes, and tickets make me warier.

well according to ticketmaster there are still tickets available for that show...I just did a quick search on ticketmaster for 2 lawn tickets ($40 per ticket) and they are still available. but as far as the vip thing, I have never done that but I have never really had a problem with lines or waiting that long to get in so I would say its not worth it.

oh and as to your question about buying tickets online, shipping, etc. I have never had a problem ordering through ticketmaster. they are perfectly safe to deal with (I actually received 4 dmb tickets last week from them and have another pair of tickets for a different concert on the way too) so I wouldn't worry too much about ordering from them.

Echo that. Never had a problem with ticketmaster. The send tickets in very plain envelope, so they don't draw attention.
