Xfinity Theater (Hartford Meadows) Parking Lots?

Any Hartford vets have tips for someone new to the area on the parking lots? I'm taking my daughter to a non-DMB show this summer and am curious what pointers you guys may have. Easiest way in/out, best places to park in the lots, fastest way to exit, do they allow tailgating, etc?

From my recollection, there are three lots affiliated with the venue (one is vip). For DMB, all 3 lots are open. Not sure if they will use all of them for other shows (especially acts that draw less of a crowd). On top of these lots, all the surrounding businesses allow for parking (so long as you pay their fee). If you want to get out quickly, best bet is one of the small business lots.

All lots allow for tailgating. Not sure which show you are going to, but in my experience, at least with DMB, the tailgating is a bit more wild/crazy in Hartford than other venues.

I think it all depends which direction you need to head in after the show. I've always been a fan of taking the Trumbull St exit off 91, then a right and you have a gas station and bigger lot behind/to the right. Seen other shows there and it's not nearly as nutty as DMB.

Tailgating isn't an issue in any lot as long as you play it cool and don't expect to get into the lots at noon day of the show

Hartford is by far one of the worst or best depending on how you look at it.
How old is your daughter?
Where are you headed after the show, home, local hotel, hotel down the road?

I would def take the advice of parking and walking a little if you want a faster out.
If you are at a local hotel I would consider walking. None are super close but 10-15 mins walk.
Cops do a good job of getting people out quick compared to many venues.
All really depends on the above questions though, most importantly how old is your daughter

How old is your daughter? We always park at the adult bookstore a few blocks away. Haha. $30 but there's a bathroom and you get the novelty of parking in an XXX parking lot. Good tailgate scene.

She's 7....so the porn shop is out. Hitting the Brad Paisley show this Sunday, so at least it isn't a "work day" for extra traffic. Have one other going with us so will probably just head there early, crack a couple brews & Capri Suns ;-) , and show her how to tailgate....to avoid the pre-show traffic people mentioned.

Does regular parking (Non-VIP) enter the lot at Savitt or Weston (or both)? I assume VIP is at Savitt. Is one entrance better than the other when it comes to ease-of-exiting or tailgating location?

I've always entered the regular lots from New Road/Weston.
