Never been to a show here?

If youre trying to bring in some green its not hard. Security can vary between lenient and overbearing.

    Nope, never been here.

And yes, your assumption is correct.

Ill probably do the old and trusty cigar tube in the shoe.

yep, shoe is always the best way to go.

Well as opposed to the vape oil you can get now, literally carry it into the show in your hand

I am debating staying in Pittsburgh Friday.

Anyone have recommendations/things to do on a Friday afternoon and evening?

Current plan is to stay in Weirton, WV Saturday night as it's closest to the venue.

I would still suggest Robinson.. might be like 10 minutes longer to drive to than weirton, and it gives you much easier access to the city, ubers etc... not to mention restaurants and bars.

As far as stuff to do... just go down to the north shore or cultural district and get some food/drinks. Id suggest Emporio: A Meatball Joint.

If anyone has 2 tickets anywhere theyre looking to get rid of please let me know!

I posted this previous years. Please let me know of mistakes, updates, things to add, etc.:

    ALT TO 22/30 ROUTES:
The Imperial exit then parallel to Rt22 route: https://goo.gl/maps/qZxr3
The Rt30W through Clinton to Rt18S route: https://goo.gl/maps/XfqgH
The Oakdale exit to North Branch to Midway to Rt18N route: https://goo.gl/maps/qFu0B
The I79 to venue (without using 22/30) route: https://goo.gl/maps/PUj7u
Also, if 22/30 interchange at Robinson is backed up, go past it and take 576 at the airport down to Rt22W: https://goo.gl/maps/oPsyi
I think the toll is 50 or 75 cents.

RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA...MOSTLY BASED ON GOOD BEER:

Fat Head's - In the South Side. For beer or food, I always name this #1 for out of towners.
Piper's Pub - Across the street from Fat Head's. Also excellent food and beer selection.
Industry Public House - In North Fayette (Robinson area). Next to Sam's Club. Great beer selection. Good brunch too.
Church Brew Works - In Lawrenceville (I guess?). Amazing building. Above average beers, but only serve what they make. Food that can be hit or miss sometimes, in my experience.
Beerhead Bar - Right next to PNC Park but the Pirates are away that weekend. It's a BYOFood place with a wide selection of beers. You can bring in food or order it delivery. A chain that started in Chicago.
Southern Tier - The Pgh location of the brewery in Lakewood, NY.

If you're looking for a place to buy beer:
Market District (Giant Eagle) in Robinson has a good selection. You can't buy cases there though...just individual bottles or 6ers. They have a limit of 192 oz for purchases but you can also have multiple people or buy your limit, go to your car, then come back in.
Essex Beer: Distributor just off 22/30 Imperial exit: Essex, 100 Market Pl Dr, Oakdale, PA 15071 (next to McD's and Shop N Save).

I just saw this earlier this morning. Very good news, love them.

Anyone have any idea when music starts? Is it 12?

Im wondering when the lots will open and when is the best time to head in, want to get some good tailgating in beforehand.

Concert gates open at 12; parking lots 2 1/2 hours prior. So, 9:30.

Using last year's schedule, the first band went on at 12:40.
Keeping roughly the same time frames, I'm assuming Nathaniel Rateliff will go on around 3:00.

Just checked out Nathaniel Rateliff and the night sweats a few weeks ago. Sounds like you guys are in for a nice line up this year.

If you didn't know, there is a Farm Aid app. Nothing on schedule yet but has the line up of bands.
