Re: Random dmb thoughts that don't need their own thread
Looking back on the 2-sets, we got a lot of gold there, but most people's shows were really front loaded with the gems because of the format. The electric sets would take a real nose dive toward the end, especially if you had the Lovely Ladies showing up that night. Yes, a lot of the acoustic sets felt limited, but in the 2 years I went (3 shows in 2014, 5 in 2015) I saw loads of stuff you rarely see in any given year and some of it more than once (some cooler than others, sure):
Beach Ball x2
Snow Outside x3
Let You Down x2
I'll Back You Up
Good Good Time x2
Captain
Cry Freedom
Spoon
Raven
Slip Sliding Away (short lived cover, but I dug it)
Belly Full
Butterfly
Stolen Away
Say Goodbye
Recently x3
#27 x2
Halloween x5
Some Devil
Oh x3
Little Red Bird x3
The Stone x3
Typical Situation x3
Minarets x3
Old Dirt Hill
Hunger
I Did It
Pig x2
Big Eyed Fish
Best of What's Around x2
Two Step x3
Granted, maybe I pick my spots better, but I really appreciate what they were playing. From that era, Alpine 2015 is one of my favorite weekends i've ever been to and Dave playing the first Let You Down in 17 years at Deer Creek was one of the best moments I've ever seen.
