Washington Nationals

Figured it was time to start this thread this year. This team will finally start to become a contender this year. But looking at the NL East, you never know. Having to play the Phillies, Braves, and Marlins as much as the Nats have to you don't know where the team is going to land.

Rotation: Strasburg, Zimmerman, Gio Gonzalez, Edwin Jackson, Ross Detwiler (Lannan)

The rotation has the possibility to be one of the bests in the NL. Strasburg's potential is through the roof and the fact that Zimmerman may be as good as Stras is scary. And the astounding fact that the Nats optioned the highest played player and first pitcher to throw sub 4.00 to AAA shows how deep the rotation is. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...CttS_blog.html)

Lineup:

SS Desmond
2B Espinosa
3B- Zimmerman
LF- Morse
1B- LaRoche
RF- Werth
C Ramos
CF ????? Still up in the air, but will be Bryce Harper come May/June

Average lineup from up top to bottom. Run production will depend on progression of Desmond and Espinosa and the health of Zimmerman

Got my tickets for opening day!

If nats could just hit a little more they could easily win the east. The pitching is outstanding although it looks like my boy drew storen is visiting James Andrews.

This should be my god damn thread as a Nats season ticket holder. I spent $43 for the season. What the shit??

But for real, about damn time there is a thread for this team. I'm taking my entire restaurant staff up there in a few weeks as a giant "Thank you" for dealing with me and my customers.

I'll take 3 out of 4 and 2 out of 3 all year. I'd rather get this game over rather than burn up the bullpen again. We should be able to beat up on the Astros.

New Nats quasi-fan here. Never gonna give up my Rangers, but being transplanted in DC means I will be going to a lot of Nats games.

Haha ok deal. If I wanted to argue though my side would be the fact I used to have to pitch to Zimmerman in AAU ball. I knew every outing that the guy was either gonna get on base or knock it into the parking lot. Frustrating as hell.

On that topic though, I've seen more Nats fans lately than ever. They need to go back in their holes and stop showing up when we win a couple of games.
