    There was no bickering.

I was discussing with you, on what I thought was a completely level-basis about a subject in a Discussion thread.

You asked me what was, "up my ass" and told me I had a "fucking problem".

Let me lay it out plain and simple....

Falling Off The Roof has been played once, it is a guitar part with decent lyrics.

Shotgun has been played full band for two years now, and could be album ready if they do it appropriately. It is more developed and has more potential from what we as fans know.
It's hard to compare a song that has been played once to a song that will almost def be on the next album. I don't know what the other guy was trying to compare or prove to you. All I'm saying is that development has nothing to do with enjoyability. Sure it helps, but if this was fact how come so many people around here prefer #41 Police more than it's regular. FOTR is not as developed as Shotgun, but that doesn't take anything anyway from it. For me atleast, I enjoy this little tiny song just as much as Shotgun.

Not looking at it from an, "Enjoyability" angle - I would never ever try to take away a song and what it means to someone - I'm looking at it from a musical prespective.

Everyone had so much hope for what they wanted for Eh Hee to sound like fullband, people had ideas on what it should sound like...thinking it was THE NEXT MINARETS. I for one, think it ended up horrible for the song. In the end, the band makes the call on what the full band sounds like. So comparing an already full band song to a Dave solo song in a thread about the next big FULL Band song. I feel I had the correct rebuttles.

Actually I think you grabbed that honor a while ago...when everyone was dissing your love for Romney..How the fuck do you live with yourself? And then you claim to like Dave Matthews music. I guess you completely ignore his obvious and overwhelming support for left wing ideals in his song writing when coming to this judgement.

While I disagree with his political views, ShotgunDMB is easily one of the better posters on this site.

    Yes.

1.) Two weeks ago we had roughly the same conversation (Shotgun), it ended with you calling me a fucking moron because I spoke my opinion.

2.) Today, when I gave it another chance and just discussed it with you, you pulled the same sharade and then tried to coward away like a little 18 year old Fratboy.

3.) If I was judgemental via the Internet, I would place on my judgement on not liking you.

4.) Your DMB screename is DMBistheshiznit.

5.) I fucking hate your threads.

6.) In regards to my comment on Obama, if you have any sort of the same views about politics that you do on Antsmarching....I would not want you deciding who leads our nation.

If Shotgun is the best cut I think we'll all be disappointed. It's a decent song, but it would be one of the worst songs from the Big 3, if it came from that era.

Break Free actually sounds like it could go somewhere. The evolution of the jam alone from the first time it was played to the end of the 06 tour actually showed some effort by the band.

    Shotgun is just awful.

Re: Will Shotgun be the best song on the new album?

I really think that people tend to talk up Shotgun more than it deserves. Musically its the tits... lyrically... well I dont know, all the yelling and stuff... I just dont think its all that great.

Im not saying that I think "song x" is better than "shotgun," musically or lyrically, but I just dont think its as great of a song as it gets credit for right now.

I happen to agree with whoever said it before, I personally think #27 is better than Shotgun right now.
