Then I listened again and it was "Wait.. what the fuck?!?"

It is by far my favorite song from the album. I would LOVE for him to bring it out in an encore 1 spot where he typically does some solo stuff. I imagine it will never come out because of how dark it is though.

Has anyone ever thought that "Early Home" could be about what happened to Anne? (maybe Dave's "other sister" song on the Batson sessions?)

She was killed in South Africa by her husband who then killed himself.

I'm sorry if we're too far removed from 1994 to talk about this topic in speculation, but it did cross my mind after I listened to the song a couple times.

I don't know the context of her death, but I guess it we knew it stemmed from infidelity or something similar it would make sense to think the song could potentially be about her.

I have been searchings for these for quite some time. I got to the original link too late. Does anyone know of a valid source?

Hopefully this still works! It's the "remaster" that had been floating around here and doesn't feature all of the tracks but is very much worth it https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Iz...86_os_IZb1Mh9p

I still think Situation is the best song on these leaked tracks! I listen to it all the time. Fires me up. I love the contrast between the cheery, bright guitar riff that then leads into the heavy chorus riff. I really wish they would take another look at this one and release it on a future album.

I've been listening to these at least once a day since discovering them. These recordings have definitely brought me back into fervent fandom. Come Tomorrow is growing on me more as well. Between coming back to AFTW, CT & tBS- and LT/Warehouse stuff- it's seriously a "A plethora of delights- a fruit salad compote of delights" (Andrew Wood)

I really hope to get a new album within the next year or so. I've finally fully adjusted to the current lineup live and want to hear what they can do in the studio. Good times to be a DMB fan for sure. Bring on 2020!

New & (Final hopefully) mix- Could still be a double lp but fits on 1 disc and is broken up by beginning & ending pieces:

    Lp 1:
    1.There Are Ghosts
    2.Kill The King
    3.Bullets & Rum
    4.Idea Of You
    5.Break Free
    6.Red Glare
    7.Situation
    8.Ask
    9.Break For It
    10.Early Home

    LP 2:
    1.Fonz
    2.Blackjack
    3.Drive Me Away
    4.Come On
    5.Shotgun
    6.Can't Stop
    7.Celebrate
    8.ABC
    9.Sister
    10.Scream Into The Grave

Just burned it to a disc an FYE employee gave me on a recommendation for higher quality CDR's & on my 2nd listen with this running order. Just finished watching El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie and almost have Jesse's journey in that story as my track imagery now, lol. OOH- Bonus points for the VA connection of Vince Gilligan & DMB.

Yep, I think it has the most potential out of all the tracks, too.

Chorus is amazing. And the last minute of the song, jamming the chorus rift, is the best part of the whole Batson Sessions

The mix sounds so much better on a disc as opposed to the mp3's. Man, these Primera CDR's live up to the hype so far. They're pretty much comparable to store bought discs. They're what FYE uses for their "In Store Burn" service. Thanks for the tip, FYE employee!

I rearranged the leftover songs into a 50 minute playlist/disc as Works In Progress. Break For It and Break Free are pretty much the same on both discs but the rest aren't as far along. I omitted the 3 of the demos that feature the super loud programmed beats. Eww. I did debate leaving Can't Stop on here and calling it the *Hip Hop Mix*. It was just too distracting though.

    1.Break For It
    2.Break Free
    3.BlackJack
    4.Early Home
    5.#27
    6.Recovered
    7.Sister
    8.Cornbread
    9.Come On
    10.Robert Randolph

This would make it a (proverbial) triple vinyl or 2 cd set. I felt like there was a lot of good stuff from these sessions and the 3 I left off were mucking up the mixes. Now that I've reordered everything this way it's a seriously more enjoyable listening experience.

I went back and added the "Can't Stop" demo to that bonus mix. It sounds phatty in my car. I dig all incarnations of that song going back to LT6. The 2010-2013 Tim heavy ones are pretty beasty.

On a somewhat related side note - About an hour ago, DMB's official Twitter account mentioned LeRoi playing on the 3 songs recorded during these sessions that made it onto CT.

Apparently I am very late to the game....just found out about these. So what was released....was it in FLAC or just MP3? (Sorry if this was mentioned in the thread but it's 98 pages.)

I see there is a link to the remixes - does anyone have the originals or a link to them?

I remember sitting at my GFs parents' house in college downloading BEF from the LWS.....almost 20 years ago, how time flies.

Just dropping into say these sessions remain significantly underrated. Early Home, Situation, ABC, Red Glare, Drive Me Away, Scream into the Grave, Celebrate, Break for It ... all very good and re-listenable songs -- some of which are as good as or better than anything from the past 2+ albums.

I wouldn't go that far, but it's really, really damn good. Definitely better than anything on Come Tomorrow.
