Re: The Best Meal?

a big, nice breakfast is great on occasion but dinner is the best

not a big lunch person. i could do without lunch and just have little snacks throughout the day. i love snacks.

    Exactly. I don't know any people who sit down and eat breakfast on weekdays. It's too rushed and therefore unenjoyable, imo.

    We don't sit down like we do for dinner, but I make/cook breakfast almost every morning.

    Dinner (supper, because here in the South dinner usually means "lunch")...except Sunday breakfast/brunch. It's also the only day of the week I eat a legitimate breakfast.

    Bacon wrapped sirloin with shredded crab meat, fresh sea scallops, asparagus and bearnaise sauce served with a freshly baked potato and some gently steamed veg on the side, glass of spicy, deep purple Spanish red;

    A piping hot Lamb Rogan Josh, Beef Dansak, Chicken Tikka Vindaloo served with steamed rice and naan bread (or chapati) with an ice cold Kingfisher Lager or Stella Artois or Bitburger;

    Grass-fed bison burger with porto mushrooms, bacon, sauteed onions and jalapenos, blue cheese, homemade Tennessee whiskey bbq sauce served on a garlic-butter toasted bun with sweet potato fries and a tequila and lemonade;

    breakfast rocks and it's versatile, but it doesn't hold a candle to dinner!

    Damn it, I'm famished now.

    Thanks to whichever mod added my vote for lunch.

    Maybe I enjoy lunch so much cause I love sandwiches.

    This is an underrated factor. If I eat enough to be truly full there's only about a 10% chance I can get drunk after.

    This always leads horribly for me when I try to drink a lot after a full meal, but I still keep going at it

    Yup. Too full to drink. I have know idea how people can eat a bunch of wings or a big steak, and then start boozing

    The consensus answer is and should be dinner but I voted for breakfast.

    I absolutely loVE breakfast and I loVE coffee.

    I voted dinner, because I just had a fabulous grilled chicken sandwich on a wheat bun from a local restaurant tonight. I don't ever put too much time into breakfast; usually just a granola bar and some OJ. Keep it simple for lunch usually with a PB&J or something similar.

    Breakfast, no fucking contest. I would have breakfast "food" for every meal if it was available (and I have when it has been).

    It's versatile, but the standard big breakfast that I adore - 2 eggs over easy, corned beef & hash, sourdough toast, bacon, sausage, coffee, and OJ - can be applied any time of the day.

    Breakfast rules all.

    Nah bro, those stopped filling me up when I was like 6. Can't beat a good PB&J with strawberry jelly though. Especially when you fry it in a skillet like a grilled cheese.
