Is that actually open or still being built? I didn't know it was happening and noticed it on the train to NYC Saturday but it didn't look close to being complete to me. Obviously I only saw it briefly tho

Some will be upset with the smashing of traditions (It's a long walk from Erotic Zone to Uncasville), but the crowd is older now. Perhaps we'll have some band member sightings at the blackjack tables.

Hm I guess that makes sense. Pretty surprised by this switch but that’s not good to sell half the venue.

This reminds me of the closing scene in the movie BLOW.

God this is sad. End of an era. Hartford is where DMB started for me and where the heart of the years shows always was. I loved getting yelled at by cops on horses. Watching teens puke all over themselves. Wearing a pair of white sneakers and making sure they were black by the end of the day. The smell of light beer sizzling on the reprocessed gravel in the dirt lots. Walking into the pit every year, standing in the same spot and surrounded by the same people. All in all a very sad and utterly upsetting thing.

Room is booked at Mohegan. Think their pool will be open at least? Wouldn’t mind floating around all day with cup in had in between losing all my money at blackjack.

    Still sad.

Won't be doing these shows but went to Mohegan for the first time for Phish last summer and have some observations:

If the shows are announced, the ship for reasonably priced rooms at the casino has sailed. We booked a suite for Phish based on rumor and the day the shows were announced the price doubled.

The lower part of the lower bowl is basically pull out bleachers and they MOVE when people start moving, to the point where if you don't have your wits about you, it can be hard to stay on your feet. Be aware.

The rules seemed to change every night. One night we were allowed to bring in empty water bottles, another we weren't, despite them literally selling Nalgenes inside.

They didn't allow fans to sit on the GA floor before the show started or at setbreak.

They stop serving alcohol at the tables around 1am. If you're staying onsite, these can easily be remedied by subtley bringing booze down from your room. They had someone looking for people with obvious booze by the elevators but it was easy to get around. A water bottle of tequila in my back pocket and I was good to go.

If you can find a Sic Bo table late at night, stay and watch until you get stink-eyed away. It's wild.

That ship sailed the moment the contract with DMB was signed...they didn't increase prices on their website for two random weeknights BEFORE there was a single rumor of DMB playing at Mohegan for no reason.

Hey guys... hoping to make this the first show I've gone to in 4 years or so. I'm driving from Canada so its a bit of a drive... before I commit to booking rooms, juts want to make sure getting tickets won't be next to impossibe? I'd sign back up for Warehouse tickets if that was a sure thing... I can't remember tho if being a Warehouse member is a gaurentee for tickets?

EDIT: Booked "The Spa at Norwich"... price wasn't bad and apparently you can see the venue from the hotel... nice to be in walking distance.

Anyone stayed at Hyatt Place before at Mohegan Sun? $180/night compared to $350 at the casino itself. Free cancellation might do it !

It'll probably be a pretty tough ticket because the casino saves a lot of seats for patrons. I wouldn't attempt to walk from there, the casino really isn't walkable in terms of sidewalks or anything like that for safe pedestrian access. That said, parking at the casino is free!

Sounds like the way to go, thanks!

Now i just need to decide if a WH membership is worth it, I feel like these might be hard shows to get tickets for. (Haven't had a membership since like '10.)

The seat chart on Ticketmaster is showing a seated portion of the floor ! But that might just be the default concert map.

Hey everyone, looking to request warehouse tickets, just out of curiosity, does anyone know if the $125 seats are the floor seats or floor + lower bowl?

    Thanks!

LOL at people complaining about this over Hartford. Meadows is a trash venue that has barely sold the last few tours. Mohegan is an awesome small arena attached to an awesome casino. Had a blast at Phish there last summer.

Pro-tip - head past the disaster of a main entrance to the arena so it’s on your right and enter from the secret entrance around back. You’ll thank me later.

Nope not default, I've seen many shows there. Some have half seated, some are all GA floor.

I just would have preferred the new New Haven venue so we could at least be outside. Seems like its about the same size as Mohegan too

The second part is spot on. Just wish you didn’t post about it

The meadows part is just sad for nostalgia. Many of us nutmeggers chugged our first Natty Ice and had our first interactions with Hartford PD at the venue

    Feeling the exact same way.

Aside from nostalgia and tradition, Mohegan >>>> Hartford.

If I have any concern for these shows at all, it is the setlists vis-a-vis their placement as the first shows of the tour.

I love the meadows more than anything but to get two shows at a small venue mid week is actually a dream come true for me. Weekends are way harder to take off for a bartender

We were thinking on this as well. My hope, however, is that it's more like the start of the Fall 2018 tour, which as pretty good for a first show (albeit after a long summer tour). The first two were actually quite good despite not being b2b.

Maybe they treat it more like a warm up, keep it loose, play through some rarities..even if they don't kill them it would be cool to hear a myriad of stuff.

Had a pair locked for the Love Rocks show, but couldn't commit $603.90 for one show...that's both nights at MS their posters (maybe a tenner shy)...

Pro-tip - head past the disaster of a main entrance to the arena so it’s on your right and enter from the secret entrance around back. You’ll thank me later.
For reals... pretty much goes for any venue really. Would rather a smaller arena vs. larger amphitheater anywhere.

DMB has been strongest at the start of the tour lately. They come in super fresh and ready to roll, couple new songs and maybe new arrangements. It’s the only time of the tour when you get surprised by the set. By show 5/6 they are already mailing it in.

Just look at Hartford 2010 for example
