Good thing there's a sample size of 162 games vs 1 where the true results pan out

daaaaaaamn, we've sold 100k tickets since the news broke yesterday. They think it's a single day record.

(I promise this is all the correct info, I didn't forget any important words this time)

Hard to see when playoff tickets go on sale they sell out immediately. 42k x 3 or 4 min = 120k+

I'm gonna go out on a crazy limb here and suggest just maybe they were talking about just regular season tickets, which have a far wider span of time during which they're available. That it set a new organizational record for most amount of collective regular season tickets sold in a 24 hour period.

He's not taking in to account that playoff tickets are sold in advance. Season ticket holders get their seats plus have an opportunity to purchase additional tickets as well. By the time they go on sale to the general public, there are not that many.

Bryce Harper on switching to number 3 was a great sign of respect.

is he supposed to have like immediately brought that up without anyone even saying anything, or was the club just giving a friendly reminder of "btw, you know we're eventually going to be retiring Roy's number, right?"

well according to Todd Zolecki, the outlet known as Fanatics (apparently no small store) broke their best 24 hours record for a jersey launch with Harper's jersey, and that's for any player and sport ever.
I never did quite get the obsession with wearing fully replica jerseys, but hey good for them.

I'm starting to wonder if we realistically couldn't get Dallas Keuchel at, well, not exactly "bargain basement" prices, but a hell of a lot better deal than it would've been before.

If anyone signs him, I wouldn't be shocked if it's a similar deal Arrieta signed with the Phillies last year. Short term but close to the money he was hoping for. Keuchel is 31, and Arrieta was 32 when he signed.

I don't understand the Keuchel love....

Astros have shown to get the absolute best out of pitchers. See Verlander, Cole & Morton. Keuchel's FIP is pushing 4 currently

Also he pitches to contact - Phillies defense is very bad, bottom 5 in the league. He would be an awful fit in Philly

Harper was hit by a pitch on his right ankle and was removed from the game. Was seen limping around in the dugout after.

Segura is break even move & so is Rhys.

Harper is break even getting Rhys out of OF & Cutch is a minor upgrade in LF. Overall don't expect PHillies D to get significantly better

He can easily finish his career in 8 - 9 years with Philly but it won't be the same. Also at that point Harper will not be as productive or retired so would be tough to justify adding on another $36 per year - but who knows

Also at that point he probably wouldn't want to play anywhere else but LA

Trout will be perfectly happy out there. I had been saying for a while (I don't know if on these boards) but Trout always seemed really content in LA. Only way Phillies had a chance is if Trout wasn't willing to extend in LA.

Got tix for Phils/Marlins, Friday, April 12 in Miami. Taking my soon to be 7 year old. Sitting right field foul territory side. It'll be 10,000 Phils fans and 17 Marlins fans I'd imagine.
