Somehow Yahoo screwed up the league invites...I deselected the 2 teams that had delinquent managers and selected the other 10 teams to invite, but then it didn't send to anyone, so I could only send to people who didn't hide their email address when they registered. I'm working w/Yahoo personnel to locate the email addresses currently listed as "hidden" but I still need to send invites to three teams:

I think you definitely have a BIG leg up on us all with those keepers. I'm interested in seeing how Hanley plays out the next couple of years...he's had some rough times lately after ridiculously high expectations.

If it's my team, Upton, Beltran, and Sabathia are total locks. Willingham, Halladay, Chapman, are easy non-keepers. Headley is a tough one. I'd put him in the same boat as Jimmy Rollins or Brandon Phillips, though...ultimately I'd take Headley (but wouldn't feel good about it) and Phillips over anyone else on your roster. But that's just me.

I'm in a 16 team keeper league (15x15) that's been going for 7 years now - each team gets 4 keepers... Going in to this season I have Votto, Stanton, and Kemp and can choose from Holliday (through trade), Adam Jones, Han Ram, Chase Headley, or Ardolis Chapman.

Who should I take from that list?

I go Adam Jones hands down. Chapman and Headley haven't done enough to prove their worth yet (especially Chapman), so I'd avoid them...when considering keepers you can't ignore the possibility that you'd be able to pick up some of your non-keeper guys in the draft, and Chapman could be that guy...thing is, in a 16-team league, he could get eaten up in the draft, so that's not the only thing I'm going on. He's just too unpredictable to me. Look at Naftali Feliz last season...similar background and outlook heading into the rotation but then got hurt and ended up basically worthless.

So that leaves Holliday and Jones. Holliday is solid but his stock is definitely declining, while Adam Jones had a breakout year last year and his stock is going up, plus he'll contribute more SB than Holliday. Holliday is 33 years old; Jones is 27. If you don't keep Jones, you'll regret it. If you keep Holliday, you'll only have a couple of good years before he tails off.

Ooooh missed Han Ram in there...I'd actually take him over Jones since he fills a shallow position that's extra shallow in a 16-team league. I'd take him over a 3rd OF if I were you. Not a bad plan to sell on Kemp while his stock is high, but it's something you could easily regret soon, too.

Not 100% sure, there may be one open team left, with the choice of 5 keepers from: Ryan Braun, Albert Pujols, Yadier Molina, Ian Desmond, David Ortiz, Ryan Zimmerman, plus the 2nd pick in the draft.

Cueto (lose 13th round pick)

I was leaning Chapman for a long time, but now I'm starting to second guess myself. I worry about the closer to starter thing. Cueto, though not as sexy, just seems like a safer bet

Just between those two players, I'd take Cueto. He had a great season last year, and it seems like hes only going to get better. On the other hand, if your RP positions are weak, well then there is more to consider.

Also, I'm not in this league but don't want to create another fantasy thread. What do you guys think of this team. Its a 12 team league, H2H, non keeper, just straight standard draft. No restrictions. What do you guys think are my strengths and weakness'? (Apologies in advance for taking up so much space)

Pretty fair deal IMO. I like the person getting Kemp though. I doubt Rios ever puts numbers up like last year again. And I'm probably the only person in the world who doesnt think McCutchen will repeat his last season. I don't like banking on young players who have had one or two good seasons, too inconsisten. (there are a few exceptions.) This is precisely why I would never take Trout before Miggy or Braun. I know exactly what to expect from both of them.
