Oh thank goodness. So it's basically similar to what Chris Sale had last year.

And I have no interest in Gio.

I hate to break it to you but “similar” doesn’t mean “the exact same”

Not to mention IP or how it happened is irrelevant in this case. Fact is the injuries are similar. Pretty sure he was simply using Sale as a basis for comparison regarding the type of injury.

Makes no sense to bring up how many innings either pitched.

Yeah won't be Tommy John since it's not his elbow. This isn't that bad. Hopefully some rest and we're good.

I'd much rather a pitcher on the team I rooted for have tommy john than shoulder surgery fwiw

hopefully it doesn't come to surgery at all though

even if it ends up being a minor setback, sevy's 2019 season likely wont start till end of april. he'll basically have to start his spring training regimen over again

Severino our until May. Domingo German has looked really good, maybe he’ll fill the void.

Yeah May seems reasonable since he basically has to start from scratch. Him and Lasagna should fill in nicely.

It should really just be Gary, Giancarlo, and Aaron. Nobody else has a shot.

    Yanks/Gio close to new deal.

Not overly pumped, but there's potentially lots of upside.

Minor league deal for $3m; he can opt out on 4/20 if hes not on the major league roster by then

    No risk for the Yanks

Exactly. Worst case scenario, we have too many starting pitchers.
