FYI...may want to plan on getting there early. We came in from the north on 18 and got to about a mile out before hitting traffic around 2:45pm yesterday for Dead & Co. It took us over an hour from there to a parking spot. Other people who were only 30-40 mins behind us never made it into the venue. I believe this was the first show of the summer for the venue and hopefully things improve over the next 2 weeks, but what a shitshow that was.

Last night was unacceptable. I don't care if it was first show of the summer, they've been doing this for years. We were on 18, within 2 miles of the venue by 4:30 and at 9:30 said screw it and just went home. Hopefully DMB isn't as bad...guessing a lot of this was people coming into the lots that didnt even have tickets, but piss poor job managing traffic.

You couldn’t move 2 miles in 5 hours???? That’s nuts. Venue should be giving refunds. Was there construction that had lanes closed?

Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with it being the first show there of the summer. It's been like this for the last 20 some years. I've missed shows because of it, I have been told parking is full cause of it and I can't use my pass, etc etc. I love the vibe of it being my hometown show and all the memories there, but my god getting there is an absolute nightmare. If you don't leave around 3pm, you have no chance of getting there at a reasonable time.

Yep, finally, we got near the entrance at 9:30 and saw it at a standstill so we accepted our fate and just pulled the ripcord and bailed. Will be going to DMB this year and the likely retiring this venue from our rotation out of principle. It's a shame, as it is normally a very convenient venue to go to, but after the lack of accountability and piss poor traffic management, i cannot justify giving them any more time or money. What are all these fees for if we cant even get in the parking lot. Pay the cops to direct the traffic.

It really all depends what time you leave, but for people who may have to work on the day of a show, goooooooood luck. It has gotten exponentially worse over the last few years, but it has pretty much always been a nightmare traffic wise getting in.

I've seen it mentioned a couple of different places that what made it particularly bad for Dead & Co were all the fans who showed up without tickets hoping to snag some (or just there for the parking lot scene). Luckily that isn't as much of a thing with DMB. It looks like there is only one other show at the venue before DMB, so I don't think we'll see much change in terms of attendants doing a better job parking cars.

Hope so. I have been to Starlake a handful of times over the years, and nothing has ever even been a fraction of how bad it was the other night. I am not one to complain about being mildy inconvenienced, but when you show up 2 and a half hours before the band takes the stage, it's unacceptable to miss the show entirely. I have been bitching to LN/TM constantly...hoping to break them down for a refund. I mentioned what i saw on the news reports too. I also saw that the Starlake page took down the post where everyone was bitching together....probably because someone mentioned filing a class action suit (not sure it would matter).

Dead & Co shows are always like this. I missed the entire first set of one of their Blossom shows because of the extreme amount of extra people in the lots that didn't even have tickets. DMB shows are not like that.

The best part was Hanover Township police were busy busting vendors on Shakedown Street instead of helping with any logistics inside or outside the venue. One of the grossest scenes in a while. I made a point to get there by 3pm on Monday knowing it could be bad but I had friends with same situations described above with just total gridlock within 4 miles of star lake.

Only concern I have for dmb and phish there is maybe they're also understaffed (like most places) leading to even more issues with parking in the lots. I'm still shocked at how awful it was.

Is the $30 Tailgate lot worth it at all? Looks like it's a little closer to the entrance/exit. 2 years ago had no issues with regular lots, both getting in and out. We were near the back for parking, and left the show during last song of encore and snuck out fairly easily. The older I get, the more I hate getting in/out.

I think if you are leaving early, and the goal is just to beat traffic, the leaving earlier does more for you than the paid parking. We generally do the same thing.

I ended up with an extra lower in Section 3 Row X,Seat 21. Face and fees was like $180. Figure it might be right or left of someone here in case they have an odd man or gal out that wants to join.

I'm gonna post as a resale ticket for a little more because of the even more fees that get added. Anybody here wants it, it's face and fees.

Can anyone confirm (didn't see it in the thread already - sorry if missed) - the premier parking that's $90 open's at 5pm - yet the $30 "early" is 2pm? The logic, if true, is really hard to follow on my end.

Parking lots will generally open 2 hours prior to our scheduled gate time. Gate times vary, but are usually 60 minutes prior to show time. Please check the specific event page as these dates are subject to change. Please do not attempt to enter the venue any earlier than the designated times as you will be turned around and told to return when the parking lots open.

Same. Given all these stories I keep reading, I’ll gladly give up $30 for a shot at easier access. Anyone know of any good breweries west of the city on the way to venue??
