whats up people.

i was talking about alpine today and it made me think... are the rumored dates still the last weekend of june? and do they have any validity? everyone i've talked to has heard them, but really didnt know where they came from. I did notice that most of the areas hotels have jacked their prices for that weekend.

I'm pretty sure that the last weekend of June is still the rumored weekend for Alpine. I have no idea how valid it is, but I've heard it multiple times from different people. I hope its true

The dates seem pretty solid, haven't heard anything to the contrary and the jacked hotel prices is a good sign.

That stinks. I'm sure we will get more snow too. I'm so sick of the snow. If I lived in Colorado where I could ski every single weekend, then I'd love it. But having to walk 30 minutes to class in the freezing cold while its snowing sucks really bad

yeah, i wondered if the rumored dates have spread enough to cause hotels to take notice or maybe they have a inside and know something we dont.

They're calling for about 6 inches of snow tonight, made me long for a hot summer evening at alpine valley

I think the hotels know when a show is booked and they don't raise rates based on rumored dates. I could be wrong though, so don't take that to the bank!

I used to be like that, but somewhere around 35 my body decided it hated the heat and now each year I like the cold more. It's great getting old.

I was thinking more along the line of: $90 is our base rate, once half the rooms is booked XXX is our new rate, ect. and enough people had heard the rumor to start making reservations.

Very true. If I do become a teacher, Michigan might not be the best place to look for jobs. Who knows. I have at least two more years before I get out of college. Things might change.

Actually with teaching you should pretty much be able to write your own ticket anywhere. There is still a shortage of teachers out there.

I'm not really sure, but I know the more broad your subject (like history) the more likely you are to find a position because, well it's broad.
