i was referring to the fact that those stoves run $30-60 bucks depending on the style and quality.

a few rentals and they're paid for and now returning all profit.

Making my Wharehouse request in the next hour just under the wire. This trip has been a bucket list item for the past Ten years. Fuck it I'm going. I'll be Solo driving from Calgary. I was going to book the premier camping but I see I have to book 2 spots. Same for general camping. If I show up for general camping spot on the Thursday will I have to still pay for two people?

You can just select one ticket. Each ticket is good for up to 6 people.

All this talk of camp stoves.... Just remember, unless it is brand-new-never-used, you can't fly with a camp stove. Any residual gas in the lines is a big no-no.

Buy a cheap one and donate it, rent, or borrow.

Do you have more than one vehicle? Each camping pass is for up to six people in one vehicle, from Thursday to Monday.

Making my 3rd trip to the Gorge this year with the misses and a good friend (2016 and 2019). Both years we've did the early trip out, toured Seattle, then headed out to the Gorge for the shows.

This year we are flying straight to Sea-Tac early Friday and then straight to the Gorge. Making this a weekend for just shows and hanging out. Unfortunately my old body (at least it feels old) can't do camping so we are staying in a hotel in Ellensburg. Which brings me to my question.

My buddy and are are pretty avid golfers. Anybody played any courses in the area? We thought about killing a morning before a show playing 9-18 holes.

Back40 outfitters has stoves (and other kitchen stuff) available in their package as part of the Concert Camping Kit. You can choose to add them on or not to the base camping rental package I believe. Our crew never added on the Kitchen stuff to our package.

Jumping onto Chris's comment, last year I rented from Peace Van Outfitters and they too have a cooking option. I rented from Back40 the year before. Both companies are good but in my experience the equipment that Peace Van Outfitters provided was much newer. My experience with their customer service was top notch as well (Back40 is good also).

As an aside, Bruce, I am disappointed that this is the year you have chosen to go to the Gorge since, as of now as least, Chris and I (and our respective crews), are not going. It would have been a good time.

Did not know this was prohibited. Two years in a row I've flown out of NYC with my propane grill (not new). I know at least one time TSA searched through my luggage. Never had any problems (except eating too many hot dogs).

yeah I was going to say, I've definitely flown with a stove before, but that doesn't mean it's not against TSA rules..

we all know how spotty and hit or miss TSA can be.

Camp stoves are not prohibited from flying. You just have to make sure they're clean of residue and vapor smell.
