This band does whatever the fuck they want. That's kind of their appeal, right? Dave has a weird voice, they write pop songs in odd meters, the violin is front and center on a lot of songs. Maybe a lot of you are correct in saying that not catering to a specific set of longtime fans will be their downfall, but the fact is, nothing you say here or elsewhere is going to change that.

My buddy plays the iPhone game Clash of Clans, and he's in Stefan's clan. He goes, "everyone in my clan is complaining about the Lovely Ladies, what's up with that?"

He hasn't looked at sets this year, so I had to explain the predictability and staleness to him, but sounds like Stefan is getting heat from all channels!

Dude, I was playing WoW and Stefan is in my guild. We wiped on a raid boss and I typed "damn must be like the be yourself debut all over again"

Needless to say Stefan left the raid shortly after

Maybe Zilla should have specified 'hardcore' fanbase instead of just general fanbase, but there is no doubt the majority of hardcore fans are together on the topic of the Lovely Ladies.

I would emphatically argue that your lack of understanding that this is a discussion forum, and, like the Ornette Coleman quote Jeff included in his Facebook post, that "all listeners are equal in their opinions," has way more to do with the toxic nature of this site recently than Zilla sharing his honest opinions.

I'm way more forgiving of the band than probably 90% of the regular posters on here but this kind of self-righteousness makes me want to stay away way more than the people who are just negative.

Even on the Family, the vast majority of posts that come up about the Ladies follow with comments about how they don't like them. There's a very small segment of the fan base that likes them.
