DMB Merchandise Discussion

Couldn't find a thread on this, so...

A thread to discuss new DMB merch, stuff you're into, DMB Christmas lists, etc.

To start it off -

http://davematthewsband.shop.musicto...570&pc=DMCT509

South Africa tee - did anyone else think this looks like someone violating a rhino?

pretty sure some designer cleverly made that shirt to resemble that...it's just too good for it not to secretly be done on purpose...good find Chad haha

Anyone know if the 25% off Live Trax discs counts toward the Live Trax bundles? I'm seriously considering buying the first bundle of 1-9 and wondered if that 25% works or if they have to be purchased individually.

I think it's towards all of them

You can add it to your cart and see though before you check out.

I'm thinking about doing that to catch up, I haven't bought 26 or 27 yet and need to order 28. I know it doesn't work on 28 but it does on the other two!

    Re: DMB Merchandise Discussion

I was shopping with my fiancÚ the other day for Xmas decorations and I found a silver saxophone. This got me thinking how cool it would be if they made a set of ornaments of the flower instruments and a fire dancer. I bet they'd sell pretty good and I know I'd like to have something like that to hang on my tree.

I'm excited to get LT 28 and watch the DVD.

I know people talk about this all the time but I want re-releases of all of the studio albums on vinyl

personally, i feel there attempt at new merch is subpar. the new items are very stale and repetitive to me.

how many keychains, drink receptacles, and socks does a person need?

the "laptop case" and "journal" are cool, but way too overpriced.

ive countless times emailed the warehouse with ideas, and nothing ever comes of them.

throw the firedancer on some golf balls or something... id buy those.

im sure from the marketing side, its tough to take a risk on new ideas, but geez just do something different.

    just me though..

As much as people want vinyl, I wonder how many would actually listen to it if they reissued older albums.

They would sell - but probably only 50% would listen and 50% would frame. Most people are buying it because it "looks cool" rather than to actually listen to it.

It's the difference between a "vinyl collector" and a "vinyl enthusiast".

I love their mountain hardware jacket, but $70 for a shirt and $15-20 to ship it?

Unless you catch the Cinco de Mayo sale, the freight they charge is brutal.

With zero facts to back it up, I think the 50% of people listening to it number is high.

I would absolutely listen to BTCS on vinyl, but I would definitely frame the cover and keep the disc in the sleeve insert. Best of both worlds

I would listen to it. The quality of a record is great and there's just something about listening to a record that makes it that much better

Curious about the "spend $40 and get a mystery bonus CD" promotion. It has a picture of the D&T Live in Las Vegas bonus disc next to it.

My guess is that it will just be a randomly tossed in bonus disc of stuff they have extras of laying around. Weird that it has that picture though... Guess it's not too much of a mystery after all

Dave writes the new-merchandise lists, obviously.

key chains = Jimi Thing, drink receptacles = cornbread, socks = Shake Me Like a Smelly Monkey

I think you're right about this, but it's annoying that it's not a bit more descriptive. I'm interested in it but I don't want to order something to get it and then it comes and it's something I already have.

Watch it, shockingly, contain numerous rarities or long-clamored-for favorites (e,g, 7/10/04 GGT) and only have a run of about 100 or so. Would't that be funny
