Indianapolis is such an underrated city, and easily the nicest city I've ever been to. It's so clean, incredibly quiet. I can't say enough good things about Indy.

Those were the first shows I traveled for.

That was one hell of a run! Glad I was there for it. After that, I didn't go back to Alpine until 2012 and just might leave it at that.

Was in the pit both nights for those 2012 Alpine shows. Just an incredible time.

Stanley Jordan was huge for me too because I've actually been a fan of his for years so I flipped when he showed up.

Fair to say I've touched a nerve. It's the reason there's so much angst over the Alpine uncertainty. Bring on the dates!

The only upside for me I would say of there possibly being no Alpine this year is it leaves more room open to try out some new venues. Have been to SPAC and Deer Creek before; will likely return there this year. Would love to do the Gorge for the first time this year. Maybe West Palm Beach or Camden.

Would also love to go to the tour opener where ever that ends up landing.

Born and raised just south of Indy and I agree that it is underrated! Obviously, if you are a camper you won't be disappointed but if you aren't, you won't have any problems finding stuff to do around the city! I might be a little biased since it's my home venue, but Deer Creek has such a great energy. You'll enjoy every aspect of it!

I've been to Indy twice (both for the 500, 2006 & 2008) and my takeaway is vastly different than yours.

It was extremely unremarkable & felt a bit too Midwest for my tastes. I'll take anywhere on the west coast any day.

Perhaps it’s changed since then, I’ve been twice for business conferences, 2016,2017 and had an awesome time.

Not good news for Alpine.....

Brace yourself or sit down..

I just left Alpine Valley, was doing a little skiing at the resort and stopped into the hotel to get some information if they would give any out.

They told me they heard DMB will not be at Alpine this yea but will be at Summerfest instead.

They confirmed 5 booked shows... 2 ZBB shows in August. And then shows on 6/22-6/23 and 7/6. (acts not announced)

Thanks for sharing. Tried to call a couple times this morning to book another room but looks like I should save my money until announcement time. May not need that room.
