Admit it, that BK commercial was the shit.

Also, check out mit Gas by TOmahawk. It's hard to get into at first, but once you do, fuckin' gold.

Eh, genre is a tough word when it comes to these guys.

I'll give you the personel, then maybe you can kinda figure it out.

    MIke Patton- Vocals, effects
Duane Dennison(formerly of Jesus Lizard)- Guitar
    Kevin Rutmanis(Melvins, Cows)- Bass
    John Stainer(Helmet)- Drums.

    That's AMG's review.....maybe that'll help out.

Ben Harper - Both Sides Of The Gun

seriously check it out...go to barnes and noble and sample it or something...two great discs, its got a real funky feel to the second disk and a more soft poken acoustic style to the first

I hear ya man about the broad tastes.

Here's a recent 5 song set that came up on my MP3 player.

    1. U Can't Touch THis- MC Hammer(I still got a spot in my heart for Hammer)
    2. Capt. Midnight- Tomahawk(EVERYONE here should check this band out)
    3. Grey Street
    4. Page 29- Fantomas(Which lyrics go, literally like htis"barrrring, barrrring, barring, barrrrrrrring, barrrrrrrrring, bom, shiockchak chak chak chak chak, prillimboompa, shiockhak chak chak chak chak prillimboompa!) It goes on from there.
    5. Girl From Impanema(sp)- Mrs. Miller(Who is so bad, it's funny)

it's my favorite clapton album (which is really saying something). He just flat-out wails on every song, and Billy Preston and the rest of the band behind him are awesome. Plus the whole show is on the DVD that's included when you buy the album. The recordings are from two nights at the Staples Center in Los Angeles from 2001. So very very badass. Badge, I Want A Little Girl, Have You Ever Loved A Woman, and River of Tears are particularly asskicking. I mean, this version of River of Tears is very much in the running for my favorite recording ever by anyone period (and that's after 4 years of consideration on the issue).

ps. so Rocklin eh? Just up the road don't ya know. Maybe we've been to a few of the same shows even . . good times
