I don't currently, my car died several months ago and I've been driving my mom's car since, not typically something I would do but a lot of factors had it play out this way

I'm only at the very beginning of my search and it looks like a pretty big range. I have a lot of hw to do before deciding on something but I like Mazda, some Honda's, Toyota, love my gf's Jeep but from what I can tell on sites like Edmunds they are ranked high in anything.

I’ve got a reservation in for a 2023 VW ID.4, made it almost four months ago. Might get the car by next spring, we’ll see. Can’t wait to go electric. In the meantime, I’ve got to limp my current car with 205K miles across the finish line.

Yeah..look at lease vs finance. If you lease..at the the end of the day…there is no equity there.

Do you have to make any modifications at home to be able to charge it?

Excited to see how you like it. I've heard a lot of really good things about it, but haven't seen one in person yet.

At this point I’m still renting, so I’ll only do level 1 charging at home. Once I buy a house, I’ll be putting in a level 2 charger. Nice thing is, there’s an Electrify America charging station five minutes from home, so I can use my three years of free 30 minute charges there when I need to.

I’ve seen a few around here, it’s amazing how well they blend into traffic. They don’t have that “EV look,” very inconspicuous.

Depends on the vehicle/wear and tear, etc. I’ve had equity in every one of my leases.

I made my ID4 resy in February. Then I got a message from then in June that it's delayed due to the war in Ukraine. They have been radio silent since.

Go back to your reservation page, all orders for 2022 models that haven’t been locked are being changed to 2023. Had to change mine over the weekend.

All of the American 2023 models are being manufactured in the Chattanooga plant, so hopefully that clears the bottleneck soon.

Does not say that on mine because my model was locked already.

Picking up my Ford Maverick XLT on Friday. Been looking to get a truck for a while now and it seems like a good option for where I am right now (one kid, not driving a ton, but still doing weekend projects and need some space). Best part is it gets 35 MPG highway and with my Grand Cherokee set to fall apart after reaching 100k miles within a few months, seems like the right move.

just not a truck guy, personally. a lot of people are, clearly, and for the amount of projects you do I think it makes a lot of sense.

hoping to give my minivan to my wife in 2023 to clear the runway for my GLS 450

Check back in when you trade that SOB in for a full size truck in 6 months.

According to my mechanic- yes. It's got a coolant leak/overheating problem right now that I have to fix before I trade it in later this week. From what I'm told a ~$500 job, which is worth it because they'll give me an additional $5k on the trade-in value if it's fixed.

I'm so used to the decent space of the GC that I'd struggle to get something without a large trunk or bed. And with only one kid we're not quite in minivan mode just yet.

Haha, I've already had the thought (especially because I'm in the queue for a Lightning, whenever my turn comes up- from what I'm told it could still be 2 years minimum), but I'm going to give the Maverick a solid 1-3 years and then reevaluate. First new car I've ever bought so I'm pretty pumped about it. And from what I've read, the resale value on the Maverick is fairly high due to lack of production and demand for a reasonable/smaller truck for wannabe truck guys like me

Picking up my Ford Maverick XLT on Friday. Been looking to get a truck for a while now and it seems like a good option for where I am right now (one kid, not driving a ton, but still doing weekend projects and need some space). Best part is it gets 35 MPG highway and with my Grand Cherokee set to fall apart after reaching 100k miles within a few months, seems like the right move.
traffic, traffic, lookin for my chapstick
feelin kinda car sick, there'a ford maverick!

My brother texted me this in response to the picture I sent him- I can't lie, diminished my enthusiasm by about 10-15%
