They do play quarterback though. And if you want to play the stats game, go look at em in their losses.

I'm sorry, I was unaware that every team other than the Jets plays against top teams in the league every week.

you are being way too homerific right now boss.

matt schaub is quietly one of the best QBs in the league, and has been that way for 2-3 years now. he is not top 5, but go take a look at this stats....EASILY a top 10 QB.

also, you associate way too much with the QB. okay - TO and 85 are carson palmers wideouts....but if carson palmer never has more than 2 seconds to throw the ball, it doesnt matter if larry fitzgerald and andre johnson were his #1 and #2 - he isnt going to be able to do shit.

same applies for romo. i am a diehard eagles fan and fucking HATE dallas, but to say sanchez is better than romo is silly. romo is way overrated, dont get me wrong, but sanchez is still far too young to compare to him.

i think sanchez WILL BE better than romo, but right now, he isnt, and right now, he isnt even close to matt schuab either. palmer is having an off year, favre sucks, and mcnabb is bleh...but it doesnt change the fact that sanchez is young and growing.

RIGHT NOW, I would say this is my rankings of the best QBs in the NFL.

    Manning
    Rivers
    Rodgers
    Vick
    Brady
    Brees
    Flacco
    Ryan
    Schaub
    McNabb
    Cutler
    Favre
    Orton (sadly)
    Palmer
    Romo
    ----------
    Sanchez

...so Sanchez is exactly my 16th ranked QB.

And to all you patriot fans whose tampons are about to shoot out - remember, this is RIGHT NOW, not career. obvioulsy brady would be #2 if were talking careers.

I hear everything you are saying and completely understand your opinion, and thank you for presenting it like a normal human being. I just disagree with the notion that Romo THIS YEAR was better than Sanchez before he went down. And that's my point. No shit Romo is "better" than Sanchez if you're looking at the big picture. But this year I don't think that's true. Same goes for Palmer.

    OK.

    Carson Palmer:
    NE -- 345 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
    Cle -- 371 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
    TB -- 209 yards, 2 TDs, 3 INTs
    ATL -- 412 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INts
    Mia -- 215 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
    Pitt -- 248 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
    IND -- 292 yards, 2 TDs, 3 INTs
    Buf -- 230 yards 2 TDs, 2 INTs

In eight losses, Palmer has more touchdowns than Sanchez has all year, and his two worst games were in the Bengals' two wins. There could not be a better example of what I'm trying to say.

    Schaub:
    Dal -- 241 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs
    NYG -- 196 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
    IND -- 201 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
    SD -- 267 yards, 0 TD. 1 INT
    Jac -- 314 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
    NYJ -- 254 1 TD, 0 INTs

That's a little better example for you, but Schaub is still a better QB.

fair enough...although palmer is having a bad year only because of what he USED to do. i remember when palmer was considered a top 3 QB - the 2 better than him are still right at the top, but his play has slipped immensely since his injury.

i like sanchez and think he could be a stud. but as i said, and think we agree to, he is still very young.

much to learn, you have, my young padiwan

Tony Romo played five games. He had 11 TDs and 7 INTs for 1,605 yards.

Through five games, Mark Sanchez had 9 TDs and 0 INTs for 902 yards.

Even if you want to knock Romo for the turnovers there is no question who is better.

Palmer isn't having a bad year at all. At all. He's 7th in TDs, 6th in passing yards and is completing 61 percent of his passes. The Bengals arent bad because of Carson Palmer. He's the best offensive player on that football team.

im saying compared to how he USED to play he is having a bad year.

considering he used to play out of his mind, i dont think thats too far off from an accurate statement. word?

I don't really know. He's on pace for like 30 TDs and around 4,000 yards. Did he really used to play better than that?

I dont think so. He sucked in Buffalo. I know its Buffalo and someone had to get him the ball, but he didnt do anything there. I think TO is having a great year because of Palmer, not vice versa.

I'd take Arnold Palmer over Carson Palmer at this point.

I don't really know where I'd rate Sanchise. I think right now he's somewhere between 15 and 25, but he could easily end the season in the Top 10.

Owens is 3rd in receptions, 3rd in yards, and 6th in touchdowns; 62, 897, and 8 through 10 games.

He had 55 catches, 829 yards, and 5 touchdowns for the Bills last year.

He still plays at a high level despite his baggage and age. He's still putting up numbers he's accustomed to his entire career.

Owens is having a good season, but it's more quantity than quality. His DVOA is in the 40s.

I don't care what his DVOA is. I've resented it in the past, but I'd welcome Owens on the Steelers' roster right now with open arms.

No fucking way. Ask the people who see him every week what they think about him. He's not even a quality backup at this point. Reminds me of Drew Bledsoe at the end of his run in Dallas.

In talent, Carson is absolutely still a top 10 QB. Just because you were 3rd and now you've fallen ridiculously hard and fast, doesn't mean you suck.

you only like numbers when they support your argument, so why should i waste my time? if i post numbers they show Cassel is having a better year than the Eyebrow, you blame it on the schedule. i've lost all interest in debating someone that's never been wrong in his life.
