The Arcade Fire Appreciation Thread...

Great, mostly unheard of band.

Antichrist Television Blues and Wake Up are my favorite songs at the moment.

Arcade Fire is probably one of the most acclaimed indie bands around.

Anyway, I like "My Body Is A Cage". That's about it though. They are hit or miss with me.

You may want to start by downloading songs like Wake Up, Intervention, and Keep the Car Running. Although I'll warn you, doing so may turn you off from some of their other stuff. I would personally recommend downloading/buying the album "Funeral" and then move on to "Neon Bible."

Those songs would be a good start if you want to test the waters though.

    Unheard of? Hardly.

Still a favorite band though. I know they've been working on a soundtrack for a project. Might be getting that early next year.

Ok sorry... They are not unheard of here at ANTS. Just to the general population.

Unfortunately that is not saying much.

They're one of the biggest bands in the genre. They've played shows with Bruce Springsteen. They've played shows for Barack Obama. They're hardly unheard of anywhere. Of course you're not going to hear them on top 40 stations, but they're well known nationwide.

Wake Up is the only song that ever stuck with me.

But it is a great example of respectable Cancon.

Awesome band. ONe of my favorites. Might be the only one who digs Neon Bible over Funeral, but seriously both albums are basically flawless.

Ocean of Noise tears me up every time I hear it.

    they're fucking amazing.
Funeral is a cd you can listen to over and over and over again and it will never get old.
also don't forget about the EP, because Vampire Forest Fire is an epic song.

Funeral and their EP are their best albums. Neon Bible kinda disappointed me.

I'm Sleeping In A Submarine & No Cars Go from their EP are amazing. Not a fan of the redone No Cars Go on Neon Bible.
