I would let that happen for the quality alone.

Me too, plus you could do a 2LP 33rpm set for those who want a few less gaps and a 24/96 download, Blu-ray or standard 16/44.1 CD for those who want no gaps.

Honestly, I've never brought up the topic so I cannot give an answer. My guess would be no, but I would deem any announcement proving me wrong as worthy of throwing a party.

We always appreciate the info you have. Besides a deluxe audiophile 45rpm release, if they treat this reissue as well as Crash, I think there will be satisfaction.

Looking forward to what I hope is an impending announcement.

^ The Fall Tour announcement is coming next week, so they could announce it with that. Probably not though.

BTCS 20th Anniversary Tour / Vinyl Pre-order announcement next week confirmed wildly unlikely.

Man a BTCS themed tour. Would be incredible

But I’m sure it wouldn’t be favored by some here because it’s takeall the new crap off the table

Maybe a stupid question... Do we even know if this is actually a go? Didn't the Crash anniversary just see a vinyl release, but no extras? Or did I blank out for the Super Deluxe Limited Edition 5-disc Anniversary release of Crash? Also, if BTCS is a go, are there rumors on content and release date (I apologize if that info is scattered around in this thread, I just didn't have a chance to read it yet)?

There was a Crash anniversary release. It didn’t have some super deluxe rare studio bonus or anything, but it had an anniversary release.

Man, that is soooooo disappointing. And such a missed opportunity. And so confusing... I can't believe RLM didn't jump at the chance to milk the fans for even more money: As previous anniversary releases showed, they just needed to slap on a couple of bonus tracks, then wait for the money to roll in as all the hardcores rush out to buy physical copies to add to their collections

It wasn’t a missed opportunity at all. They really didn’t have much to offer from those sessions. Especially not anything worth a damn. Trust me, they did the right thing.

Isn’t the word on the street that most of the unreleased material from those sessions weren’t finished? I’m assuming it’s just some rough takes. Even still, I hope they release some of those takes down the road

No matter how much people on here would like to hear the rough cuts, or how much we say we don't care how rough it sounds we just want a sonic glimpse into the creative process, this has never been a band that puts out unfinished material. Ever. To keep hoping for that with every legacy vinyl release and every new album is setting yourself up for dissapointment. The band has been pretty consistent in how they approach their releases.

A CD pressing of the remaster would have been nice.

I hope we get one with BTCS.

I can see them doing like what they did for R2T and UTTAD - the flat five songs were complete, Granny was perfect, and the demos of Nancies and Jane sound good too. I wouldn’t expect them to put a rough cut on a reissue - but a box set down the road like the Genesis Archives, and the Van Morisson sessions box set, etc. would be plausible. It’d be a cool release for the hard core fans when the band is no longer around and releasing new material

This is a good point and another story.

I think the BTCS reissue will go over better around here and beyond than the Crash one.

I'll take any '98 show, but this is the one I hope for most:

They released LT 38 with Crash, so I have a feeling it's likely

Would really love for The Dreaming Tree, The Stone, The Last Stop trifecta on that '98 show. Not sure how realistic that is, but it would be great.

Tomorrow we’re probably getting some kind of announcement whether it’s this, the winter tour, the next DMBLive/LT selection? If so, God I can’t wait.
