Re: 2020-2021 NFL Season

If the Steelers are relying on Rudolph going forward, they're gonna have a bad time...

You've won 2 Super Bowls in the past 4 years and you're talking about 3 playoff wins in 11 years. You've got quite a ways to go to hit that threshold.

    That threshold was the conversation

That threshold is irrelevant after you've already talked about hypothetically bailing on watching them after one mediocre season.

It's official - Urban Meyer hired. I'll root for him as an Ohio State fan, but I think it is going to flame out in about 3 seasons.

Do we need to hash out the idea of being less interested in watching when something gets worse for the next 5 pages as per usual or are we good?

I didn't watch much of the last game between two teams playing for nothing in an empty stadium in ugly uniforms with players who will be gone after it, whatever that equates to in your world knock yourself out

Lol every time I mention you saying you might not watch the Pats next season because of X, Y, and Z before this one has even ended you always turn it into “I’ve watched almost every game this year”

The degree to which you care about me being a Patriots fan is very odd, it's weird, literally nobody else in this thread cares how much anybody else in this thread watches any team. If the Patriots have nothing to play for, as was the case in their last game, I'll be less interested in spending hours watching something meaningless. Regardless of their record or how they are playing I'll always care about their team building, their roster, potential trades and how things could be improved as I've done for the last 30 years.

I'm just giving you shit because Boston-area sports fans have been the most obnoxiously braggadocious people in the world the past 10 years and now suddenly act like the world is ending because the Sawx suck and the Pats went 7-9.

I'm doing my civic duty here.

Ask DMBSU, Pathetic or Drop if I've personally been that way, you'll find that you are "giving me shit" for no reason and it's gotten obnoxious. I'm very critical of every local team even when they are headed for championships.

It's not for "no reason". You've reaped the benefits of more championships in a decade than most fans would see in multiple lifetimes, and the second the going got tough you claimed "I don't know if I can watch this team again next season". Yea, I pile on some because NE area fans are also generally pretty annoying. We have to deal with them anytime a Boston team comes to Tampa.

If you don't want people calling you a fair-weather fan...don't act like a fair-weather fan.

Lol, touche, but the Lightning don't apply.

Rays attendance is a joke, but so is ownership. I'm almost ready for the team to get moved.

    Bucs...I dunno.

Ohio St hate aside, I don’t think Urban will have great success in the NFL. He always struck me as a college only HC.

Of course Urban won’t work out. Hell, when’s the last time a college HC had success in the NFL without having prior NFL coaching experience? Jimmy Johnson?

    Under.

He won't be as successful with Lawrence as the front office would like him to be, and they'll can him in order to cut their losses and try someone else.

Not sure Smith will be a great hire. He could be, but it's pretty easy to look like a tremendous play caller when you have Derrick Henry and then can just run PA off that.

You might be right but I think Smith may have had something to do with it. Great play callers and schemers are important in the NFL.

Look at Henry's stats before and after Smith took over in 2019. 66 ypg in 2018 before Smith. 102 in 19 and 126 this year with Smith. He has worked magic with Tannehill too.

Apparently the interview was cancelled and they're leaning towards hiring Dan Campbell aka PC Principal

Did I hear that Kellen Moore is interviewing for Eagles HC spot? I hope Jerry sits him down and just pays him whatever he would have gotten as Eagles HC to stay our OC. No salary cap on coaches.
