My guess is that the same people answering yes are also one who enjoy the Olive Garden.

For the parents (which I am one as well): It is okay to cut the noodles post cooking for the needs of the children.

I hate nothing more than cutting children's food. If I can break with my bare hands in 2 seconds while raw what will take longer and be more difficult after cooking, that is what I shall do.

Spaghetti is not made to be broken.

No authentic chef would break their pasta.

As I noted, this gets you chopped on Chopped. This and not dressing your noodles in the sauce.

That said, it’s your life, do what you want. There are certainly more substantive issues out there. I do plenty of things you shouldn’t in the kitchen. Do it they way you like.

The reason I break the pasta is because I eat it out of a somewhat small bowl and long noodles are a disaster in them, yes I could not break them and put it on a plate but that's just what I do
