This year is the most we've aligned in quite a long time when it comes to our top movies. Logan and 2049 are still in a toss-up for the top spot for me.

Have you seen The Florida Project yet? I was thinking about that for this weekend along with Lady Bird. I'm hesitant on Sacred Deer because of how much I disliked The Lobster.

The Florida Project is sitting at #8 for me out of 30 releases I've seen. I liked it, and it checked a lot of the boxes, but the subject matter is grueling.

Finally saw Thor: Ragnarok. I'd put it near the top of Marvel films and easily the funniest one I've seen (haven't seen the Guardians films).

Just watched Mission Impossible II for the first time in about 15 yrs and I'd completely forgotten how incredibly bad it is. Just cliche after cliche, nothing smart or edgy about it at all. Very cheesy in parts. Just an all around bad movie, easily the worst one of the series. But my goodness does Thandie Newton look absolutely breathtaking in it.

I really disliked Thor Ragnarok. Way too many campy jokes, worse than Guardians of the Galaxy 2. It felt like a spoof of a Marvel movie. Spider Man Homecoming: 6/10. Nothing special at all. And frankly I’m getting annoyed with all the different Spider Mans

Girls Trip: 8/10. Really funny. Tiffany Haddish stole the movie. The hallucination scene is hilarious.

Is anybody actually looking forward to BRIGHT? ya know Netflix's first original movie that's of a massive budget, stars and very genre? The thing David Ayer made with Will Smith that's like a buddy cop thriller within a modern universe but where things can be very Lord Of The Rings-y, with elves and magic, etc existing. I mean I guess I'll wind up giving it a try since I'm a netflix user already anyway, but it's not at all like I'm excited or anything.
