    Re: The NBA Thread

i think their midrange pnr game would give Gobert problems, much like Leonard is giving Utah, except Phoenix is more challenging bc they usually have a third guy on the move behind the point of attack

i have my questions if they end up meeting the Clippers. when the Lakers went small in an all defensive lineup it was not pretty for Phoenix

Phoenix lack of center depth may hurt in either series

you have to match Saric with Favors or Zubac and pray he’s a -3 at worst. he’s done will during the season in spot minutes vs back up centers but he’ll be hunted down

Actively playing a Saric at Center line up can flip things though. Clippers are running weird lineups to stay alive so their second units regardless of size are open for mismatches. Utah in general put dudes like Niang out there. Saric minutes are out there

Haralabob at the center of the Mavs disfunction lol. Imagine Luka leaving (he's not obviously) because of a bitcoin obsessed gambler.

    just read the article

the two anecdotes they use about Doncic not liking Voulgaris...uhhh they kind of make Doncic sound like a petulant child, which he has also shown many times on the court

the front office stuff- i mean let’s look at the process. a heliocentric offense made sense two years ago, it developed Doncic’s game and Dallas ended up with the greatest ortg ever at the time. Hardaway was a good signing. in 2021 they try to add a little more defense in Richardson, James Johnson, and ultimately failed since Porzingis isn’t who they thought he was.

the office flubbed their asset pool and some flexibility, but choosing the actual players on the roster made complete sense. why Voulgaris has so much power idk, but i say he did a good job at the beginning

I’m going to have to check out that podcast because before this morning, I’ve never heard of Haralabob. What is with Dallas sports teams and front offices? There are so many other factors that can destroy teams and yet time and time again, our front offices love to cause mayhem.

I’ll just move to whatever city Luka decides to play at in 5 years

honestly the article feels undercooked; if forced to come up with a theory as to why, I'd guess that they have a lot of dirt they weren't able to fully report out and they got spooked that another outlet was going to scoop them so they posted to plant their flag and will hit us with a follow-up later

Goldsberry tweeted that in game 4 Durant's touch time and dribbles per touch were basically the highest since they've started tracking these things. Obviously he could go off in game 5. But I imagine he has a great first half keeping it close, and then just runs completely out of gas in the second
