The warehouse from LT5 is my most listened DMB tune...

His voice for that whole show is immaculate!

In fact it isn't. When it was released you could say that, but at this point i'm not being partial. It's not even one that i listen most.
I just think that it it underrated. If you listen to it carefully, you will see it's a prety solid realease. IMO most people don't listen to it anymore and they keep the judgment hey had 2 years ago.

Dave has enough of mine and all of our money, it's not a matter of intellegence, it's more a matter of common sense. You can download any album or song instantly on the computer for free, of course I'm gunna do that.

It's not that Dave needs our money, because you are right...he doesn't need it. Common sense? This is clearly not a matter of common sense, but a matter of morals. Obviously it is very easy to get thousands of dollars worth of music for free in a few hours online. The power lies within the people who don't do it, not those who do.

I don't blame you for doing it either, as it is very hard to resist. I only called the OP out on it because he was almost bragging about having gotten the music for free.

Limewire? Some people (myself included) prefer to have actual CD's rather than shit quality, mislabeled, virus heavy songs from Limewire.

LT 1: Stellar performance, if you are picky about mixes you might not like it, one of the best shows the band has played
LT 2: Solid release, mediocre mix, Santana is a cool guest I guess, just an average release
LT 3: Amazing mix, amazing performance, one of the best
LT 4: I honestly don't listen to this one much, from what I remember it is just okay
LT 5: The most underrated LT imo, love the performances and David Ryan Harris brings a lot to what he guests on, best released Jimi Thing by far
LT 6: Terrible mix, not a great release in general, Pig is pretty good
LT 7: Amazing all around, mix isn't the best though, love Paul McCandless, one of the best
LT 8: Amazing mix, great performances, one of the best
LT 9: Not worth your time
LT 10: Underrated. Some bad songs, but some good performances
LT 11: Solid show, I enjoy this one a lot, definitely in the top half of the LT's
LT 12: One of my favorites, love the rawness, a great show all around
LT 13: Very good for the most part, standard '08 show with a few rarities
LT 14: Nothing really exceptional here, don't listen much
LT 15: Great show, bad mix IMO

Ok I might possibly be the only person to think this... but Roi is so god awfully out of tune on LT3's Seek Up, it's unlistenable. How has no one ever noticed this?

    but anyways...
    My order would be:
LT1 (insane Seek up>linus>heartbeat>rapunzel, one of the best #41s of all time with Bela and Jeff, and a Last Stop to close things out. Whoa.)
LT2 (Great setlist, Santana guesting... whoa.)
LT7 (guhguhguh Flecktones are allover this thing, everybody seems pretty 'medicated'... really good.)
    LT8
    LT12 (great classic show!)
    Lt13
    Lt3
    LT10 (I think it's phenomenal after disc 1)
    LT5
LT11 (good setlist, but sort of uninspired playing, IMO)

...and the others aren't really worth getting.

and we're the idiots because we pay for music.

    On topic...

    5, 3, 7, 2, 8, 11, 1, 12, 13, 4, 15, 14, 6, 9, and 10.

5, 3, 7 are pretty much a 3-way tie for first place in my book, but there is a HUGE gap for me in this list after 12.

1...awesome release. A pretty standard set for 1998, but a great performance. Bela and Jeff guest on a couple of tunes, which is a very good thing in my opinion.

2...I don't understand all the hate this one gets. Some people think it's a bad mix? It sounds fine to me. 41, BOWA, LIOG, Stone, DIDO...sick run right there. My personal favorite Roi BOWA solo...goosebumps every single time I hear it. Great scat in Jimi Thing in this release also, and another great run with Santana just before Stay.

3...my most played by far, has many great songs, but I enjoy the overall flow of 5 much more. I usually listen to certain song "runs" on certain releases rather than the full show, but on 5 I find it very easy and enjoyable to listen to the entire thing in one sitting.

4...Crash release show, and a very cool show. I don't listen to it nearly as much as I should, as it has some gems on it. A neat little Jam after Say Goodbye. Pretty cool to see Too Much come before So Much and not be connected via ASTB, even though I love that segue.

7...just spectacular anyway you look at it really. Great set, great guests, great performance. NEW YEARS EVE! How fucking cool is that?

8...solid set, great performance. Full band Typical >> Warehouse encore.

10...There is something about this release that I just don't particularly like. Maybe it's the mix, the crowd (sorry), or the set. Don't get me wrong, the performance is outstanding on this one. DMB loves it over there, and always plays a great show. Double encore is kind of cool, but other than that the set is pretty much blah. Pretty decent Grey Street though, and quite possibly THE WORST Jimi Thing I've ever heard (thank you, Butch).

11...I've always just really enjoyed this release for some reason. It just seems very mellow and chill, and I like that. My favorite released Rapunzel, plus Minarets > LIOG > Bartender run.

12...Definitely one of the more underrated releases, and much like 5, it is very raw. I would imagine that most casual fans would hate this release, since none of the songs are quite "polished" yet. It is adored by many, though.

13, 14, 15...meh releases for me...WAY too many '08 releases as it is.

6, 9...the most recent additions to my collection and I've only listened to all of the music two or three times. Not enough for them to really move up on that list of mine yet. Pig, DDTW, and Warehouse are all great from the Fenway release, and Down By the River (love that cover), Seek Up, and of course Halloween are highlights from Vegas.

Thanks a ton everyone I really appreciate it! I found out at my new job I can listen to music so I can't wait to give a few of these a full listen tomorrow! Them and Umphrey's I've been digging big time lately.

    from the ones i've heard:

    1. Vol. 7 - words cannot describe this show, setlist and performance-wise this show is top-notch
    2. Vol. 1 - probably the "jammiest" release, a lot of awesome long instrumentals in this one
    3. Vol. 15 - awesome 2008 show, awesome performances throughout
    4. Vol. 13 - another awesome 2008 show, the mix & performance quality is awesome, setlist is awesome up until the encore which is a bit of a bummer
    5. Vol. 2 - good performances of great songs, definitely worth owning even though i don't listen to it very often
    6. Vol. 5 - amazing classic DMB show, performances are basic and innocent, but Nancies, Warehouse, and Jimi Thing are stellar
    7. Vol. 6 - great 2-night stand, i never understood the hate for this one, there definitely are some stinkers but also some of the best performances of some of the band's best songs
    8. Vol. 14 - top-notch performances of average songs and there's also the sentimental value
    9. Vol. 10 - disc 1 is meh but the rest is pretty amazing
