Can’t imagine them doing 4 shows in a row…Nov 18 & 19 seem more likely if the 1st to dates are right. Monday & Tuesday in CT seems the standard.

I'm not sure they've played inside Pittsburgh since the AJ Palumbo Center in 1995.

I'm with you - though I live 25 minutes from PPG, not halfway. But my hotel for Columbus is booked - adding a show the night before in my hometown would just be *chefs kiss*

Who knows that happened behind the scenes, but picking Pittsburgh over Chicago seems like a head scratcher.

I am fairly certain that venues have the NBA dates before they are publicly announced (for a while) so if there was a Chicago date, and it was cancelled, that is likely not why. That would create an absolute mess for venues like MSG where they have shows/sporting events nearly every night.

With the Pens being in Columbus on Friday, I might have done a Pens / DMB bang bang for the weekend out there, but if DMB is gonna play PPG on Friday night, I'm gonna be there.

I’m kind of presumptively thinking about next year and my 100th would likely land at the gorge. Making it back next year

They played 2 shows at alpine this summer that draws from Chicago. They did not play Pittsburgh/Buffalo/Toronto this summer. I’m sure it’s all based on what they think will draw better.

Agreed. The only time I'd imagine sports elbowing in at the last minute would potentially be an issue would be during the playoffs, and even then I'm sure the arenas would have those dates too. If Chicago was planned and then removed, I'm guessing it's because they booked some shows before it that weren't a good logistical fit (like in the southeast).

Yes, that was from me, and I followed up a few posts later to clarify that it was Nationwide. I'm not the source, but the source would know for certain, and I trust the people in the chain coming to me. There have been no contrary assertions since then, so I'm planning on this one.
