Got everything I wanted but the dead and Pearl Jam releases

Got RR for $90. Was fifth in line at around 745

Got Red Rocks ($89 #1450), the head and the heart and the lumineers. That cost $130 so I passed on Pink Floyd and the talking heads.

There were 2 copies of RR army store and I was the only one that picked it up. Looks like I got a good price at $90 Canadian (just under $70 US) as most seem to be getting for $90 US.

Picked up Jason Isbell, DMB, Lumineers and Busta Rhymes/Eminem

Wanted Andre 3000 but they didnt get any. Also wanted that super limited 1000 run Goo Goo DOlls boxset, none either.

they got Alice in Chains but didnt get it in time, wasnt really on my list though. But might have picked it up had I seen it.


Can anyone rip the Jason Isbell if they also got it? I'd love to have Mp3 of it, don't have a good recorder.

Grabbed prince picture disk and PJ single. I didn't see dmb there. Guy said they got two. I saw one guy leave with one. Cashier said I was welcome to get back in line and see if I glanced over the second one.

Some of it is probably due to having so much great live DMB vinyl, I'm not that immediately blown away. The vinyl itself sounds good, quiet, nice and open, but the sound is a little thin in the low/mids for me (I haven't listed to rr95 in awhile and I'm guessing that's just a tape thing). Very pleased overall, I just prefer the sound of something like LT3 better. If this were the only DMB live vinyl, I would be beyond excited. Spoiled by riches at this point.

That said, Roi's horns sound absolutely pristine. Probably the most "in the room" I've heard him sound.

Alex no Drive By Truckers, sorry. Store had two and they were picked up ahead of me.

Other RSD thoughts: the Thelonious Monk set is tip-top, excellent disks and sound plus the box and booklet are really well done, Coheed and Cambria release sounds awesome, ORG Sun Ra is perfect. The Monk box was a bit of an impulse buy and I'm really glad I went for it.

Just my luck. My side G of RR has a scratch on it and causes skips during second half of rhyme and first part of #36. Going to see if I can clean it but what would you suggest I do. I know if I go back to the store the best they could do is give me my money back which isn't what I really want. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them. Any advice would be great.
