Re: Peloton bike

Beach Body is coming out with a bike. That would explain why Jennifer Jacobs is with them now.

I honestly forgot about buying it. Need to call them. My wife probably cannot ride for 3 months, so I might just cancel the thing.

But it’s a bargain! You can’t cancel now!

Kidding aside, hope all is ok with your wife.

    It will be here Tuesday.

She’s having a post c-section hernia fixed next week. Not going to be a good time with 2 toddlers.

Hopefully you have actual Peloton direct delivery people.
When they delivered my second, outside of the city area, their outsourced delivery team was kind of bad. They drove 4 houses past mine @ seriously spent 15 minutes on the phone with me while they asked me what they should do because “that’s where the gps took them.”

I hope she has a speedy recovery! And good luck on the 2 toddler front!

    What’s your leaderboard name?

Our setup was smooth. Still waiting on my shoes. So dumb that there isn’t a universal cleat for biking. I could probably use my wife’s shoes that came with the Peloton, but she would kill me if she found out.

I rode for the first time in a while last night and have literally sat on my ass for the last 2 weeks. Did a beginner rider with Dennis and thought I didn’t lose much. Popped into a 10 minute climb with Kendall and lasted about 3 minutes.

    I just did 34 miles.

You can handle a beginner ride + a climb.

    It was UGLY.

Watching Netflix and eating takeout for 14 days is not good for you.

    No, it isn’t!

I tack on one of Bradley’s 10 minute climbs and one of Tunde’s at the end of my stack almost every day. There’s a 15 minute climb of Kendall’s that I also really like.

Christine has a 5 part 60 minute each climb that replicates the 5 hours it took her to get up a volcano in Hawaii. I’ve taken one part. I keep meaning to add another part once / week, just haven’t yet.

I’ll probably be full go by the weekend.

I’m assuming the answer is yes, but do the stacks work smooth on the bike. They’re not great on the AP.

My routine is 5 minute warm up, 30 minutes of something, 10 minute climb, 5 minute cool down and 2 stretches.

You have to click to continue the stack and go to the next one, but it’s fairly smooth. Super easy to set up and modify your stack on the bike.

My normal day is Bradley’s 5 minute warm up, then an hour of class combination - do either 3 20s or a 30, 20, 20, or a 60 - all playlist /class dependent, then the 2 climbs, then Kendall’s 5 minute cool down.

Depending on what mileage I want to hit for the day, I’ll throw on a 5k or 10k scenic at the end.

    Today was
    5 warmup - Bradley
    30 HIIT & Hills - Bradley
    20 2000s rock - Emma
    10 Climb - Bradley
    10k scenic through Georgia
    10 climb - Tunde
    5k scenic through Iceland
5 minute cool down - Kendall

Sometimes I’ll add a stretch @ the end.

My favorite recent ride was Emma’s 45 minute 90s rock from Monday.

    My favorite climbs are Bradley’s from 10.21.21, Kendall’s from 9.12.21, and Tunde’s from 8.21.21 (10, 15, and 10 minutes).

    I think I’ve tried everyone.

I’m a Dennis, Ben, Leanne and Christine person for the most part. I’m motivated, but not annoyed.

Will pop into a 10 minute ride with Alex or Kendall 10 minute class when I want to go really hard, but I cannot deal with them over the course of 30 minutes.

I think Olivia has the best classes, but she makes me feel like I’m about to die.

Someone in the Peloton FB group just shared his output from Alex’s 45 minute club banger ride and it was like 735.

My PR yesterday from Emma’s 90s was 422 and I was super impressed with myself.

It’s not apples to apples, but my max output was 407 in a 45 minute class according the to Kinetic.

I have to assume that people are skipping recovery.

You can have a “hot” bike too. That’s why I really like just competing with myself.

Oh, I know. I really only compete with myself.
It was just funny to see after I was happy with my pr.
You have no idea who is on the leaderboard with you and what their story is, so no point in competing.

I can't stand Bradley! haha Christine was my first favorite and I rode mostly with her for a while. Love Emma and her music. I think you mentioned in an earlier post but i have my favorite instructors but will always choose based on playlist. The music motivates me more than the instructors

Omg. Bradley is my absolute favorite.
He’s a bit cheesy at times, but I always have fun on his rides.

Outside of Bradley (I mean I took his country ride! Lol), I 100% pick the ride based on music. Christine and Emma are my favorites for their playlist.
