Last night was different. Last night was almost embarrassing. Supporting someone who is clearly disabled and unfit to be there. It's kind of sad to see Dave out shilling for that.

Not sure if it was an indictment on Fetterman or it being a Matthews solo show but there was supposedly only 3,000 there last night. Venue holds over 5K so a 60% filled venue for a free hour long Matthews show is pretty shocking to me. Especially in Pittsburgh that got skipped this past year for DMB.
Conversely, CBus 2 nights earlier was filled in a same sized venue.

As a diehard, I would certainly go to these events if I lived in the cities.
But they do not scream "a fun night out" to me the way an actual DMB show does. First of all, it's Dave solo. Secondly, he plays for an hour. Thirdly, you technically spend about 45 minutes listening to actual music, and probably like 2 hours listening to political talk. It's not worth it for most people.

Outside venue holds 5,500 compared to 3,000 inside - they definitely could have held it inside

Okay song selection and Dave sounded great. Solo 3rd verse alone was worth the trip. SDL and Nancies were really nice too.

Inside is 2200 and there was a lot of tv/media equipment blocking standing/viewing areas, they wouldve turned over 1100 people away if it was inside.

There was probably room for another 800-1000 or so people if they really wanted but it was decently attended considering the temp and rain.

I expected it to be more of a madhouse considering it was free, but the temp / rain definitely had an effect.

The Club level upstairs holds another 400 people - but your point about the equipment etc is a good point - they definitely moved it outside given how many signed up, so given expectations, I'm betting there was some disappointment there.

Max capacity in there is 2200 as far as I understand including the upstairs.
