stanley jordan is playing the dakota on tuesday night. wonder if he'll be in town on sunday. he's in new hampshire saturday night so not likely, but not out of the realm of possibility i suppose. personally, he is the guest i've most enjoyed seeing play with the band (at least for shows i've been at) so i wouldn't mind another opportunity.

It's awful. Apparently the artist is local to Minnesota and that's a heron and a loon in some sort of adventure novel setting. They wrote a lore document for the poster which makes no sense whatsoever. How hard is it to slap a loon on a lake with a skyline behind it and a moon or something? I won't be adding this one to my collection.

Well the second they do that people flood to the boards with "oh look, another generic poster" complaints. At least this one has some uniqueness to it, even if it's not tied in with the city.

looks like the poster does have date/location at the bottom- maybe i just missed it in the facebook link- the whole image doesn't show for me. do these ever go on sale outside of the show? i'd actually be interested in this one.

That's me on Twitter. I just found a couch tour video that went live the entire show so I tracked it out for Almanac to get song times/notes from... it's not great quality but it's something.

That was a great show last night. I was really surprised. Just solid from top to bottom. I was really surprised at the Two Step closer. I was expecting maybe Tripping Billies at best. So Right opener worked, super high energy opening run, The Maker a nice surprise, Lie In Our Graves early in the set, #41, Dancing Nancies/Warehouse, Water Into Wine was a super nice surprise, and of course the Two Step closer. Really doesn't get much better than that for a one-night show these days.

That really sucks. I was looking around to see if I could see any mic stands, but was just hoping I couldn't spot it.
