Holy heckin hootenanny!!! DMB is coming to the Moda Center!! Get your glowies ready; this show is gonna be lit.

Normally I hate basketball arenas for shows but after sleeping on the ground for 4 nights at the Gorge, I will happily see a show and then sleep in my own bed. My first Fall Tour in 17 years. LFG!!!

Just got back from 4 days at the Gorge and woke up to this news. Ready for another Dave show? Absolutely. And this time I get to bring my kids for the first time. I am stoked. I got my WH request in right away. My kids are 10, 7, and 6. I requested 200 level. I just want them to be able to see. How do posters work at the arena's? Its been 18 years since Ive seen them at Moda.

The Gorge was amaze. Labor Dave Weekend was a big success (minus the WH early entry debacle). N2 watchtower with Celisse was humongous and Dave’s voice sounded super good all weekend. Each night’s setlist was well done, even if they went a little wild N3.

I am stoked DMB is coming to Portland!! What a bonus after the Gorge. The Moda Center is a nice arena, and seeing shows there has always been a good experience for me. I’m excited to feel DMB energy inside an arena, a total change of pace from amphitheaters. The light rig will be a sight to behold and everyone screaming will be loud. Don’t forget your ear plugs.

Posters will be sold at the merch stand like normal. At the Moda Center, the merch stand is inside the main entrance. I do not know if there will be a WH line but either way, getting there early or getting the premium package is how to score a poster.

We came to Portland for the first time after the Gorge ( we’re here two more nights). Excited to see them come back here, we’re definitely planning to make the trip up for the show!

To/From Moda:

Coming from inside city: Trimet or car sharing car to the venue. Allowed to park in street “event parking zones”.
Outside city: Park at the Moda Center.

Pre-party downtown, as it’s super easy to get to the Rose Quarter from there. Top of the Nines is a good option for out of towners. Locals, maybe the Pope House near 23rd.

Things to do during the day of the show: Ice skating at Lloyd Center, visit the world’s smallest park, see the view from Pittock Mansion, shop at Paxton Gate, early tee-time at McMenamins Edgefield, visit Portland Saturday Market, hike to the Redwood Grove at Hoyt Arboretum, hang out at Powell’s Books, go bowling at Punch Bowl Social.

This is the first I’ve seen floor seating at the Moda Center. Mumford & the Killers both had the whole floor open. Those floor seats might be pretty nice. Or they could be like the seats at the Gorge and just get in the way.

Just went to Sports Bra for our last night in Portland. The couple checking in before us saw my firedancer shirt and asked if we went to the Gorge. They had as well. We get seated and a waitress comes over and says she was at the Gorge and saw my shirt. Amazing.

Stay on the west side of the river in downtown or the south waterfront. The hotels are a lot nicer.

Yup, very easy walk. The Hyatt is a new hotel directly across from the Moda Center. Also, you’re right on a MAX line (light rail) to access downtown. Good pick.

Awesome! We’ve been here since the Gorge so we’ve done a lot of exploring downtown already. We’re staying at the Heathman but wanted to be close to the venue for the show.

The hotel is amazing! But I don’t believe they do afternoon tea anymore, they didn’t mention anything to us at least, and haven’t seen anyone sipping tea in the afternoon.

We’ve seen a lot in our few short days here: Powell’s, Voodoo Donuts, hiked 3 miles at Mt. Tabor, walked the waterfront, ate at two great restaurants, explored a lot of downtown. I love how easily accessible everything is. I didn’t find the unhoused a big concern in the area of the hotel, but once we got up to Voodoo I could see where the problems were.

It’s a beautiful city and hope it can be restored.
