Re: stefan badmouthing dave

fonz was right on the money with all his comments.

d + f really didn't mix that well. Tim and Trey didn't blend very well in my opinion. THe rhythm sections wasn't that great, especially in comparison to fonz and carter. The shows did have lulls in them, which are rare to non-existent at DMB shows.

Thread titles like this one scare me before I find out what the post is about. I hate that.

i think Dave should kick Stefan out because he listens to music other than his band's. he is a spoiled little brat who isnt even good at bass. who is he to have an opinion on the direction of the band he is in.

    ridiculous.

Yeah, Levin is back in the lineup but thaey haven't done much because Levin tours with Peter Gabriel.

I would apologize for the hijack, but this thread deserves it.

i am really not striking you down here just making a point.

no one is lucky, they are a band. he is there because he is a part of a whole. they are all skilled and he is really good. i dont know if you play bass, but he is very talented. i am not saying he is one of the best in the world, but there is no reason or scale to evaluate that.

That had to be one of the best nights of my life, being 10 rows center from my idol (sorry Carter), Danny Carey's playing is better with Tool, but it's damn near impossible to get up front for them.

I was in the balcony for the show, but Robert watched from the front row of the balcony for the Pigmy's set and Trey hung around in the back. Then at the end of the show, Danny was hanging out in the back. I dropped by and shook his hand.

Love that this person thinks DMB shows don't have lulls in them, but I would have to agree on the mix. Trey really doesn't fit in. They would have been just fine with Tim and no other guitars on that tour. Trey sounded great on the album, it's just not his style to fit into other people's songs. It's messy at best.
