My synopsis of the night: I don’t remember the pit being that small at Lakewood, it was TIGHT. Parking and lines to get in were an absolute shit show. OSW was flubbed. 2 step intro FLUBBED. Space btw for shotgun is a nightmare I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. There was a bat flying on stage. Dave helped the bat & then said he should have eaten it… Any show with dreaming tree is a great success, even without shotgun. Great time

Haha yeah. After the song he pointed at someone in the pit and said “you know you blew that giant cloud of smoke at me, and I completely forgot what I was talking about” he made fun of himself and started stuttering like he did in the song

I love this review!

I really enjoyed last night, but mainly for personal reasons. I got my first Dreaming Tree and Time Bomb, and for my friend group who was there celebrating our old friends untimely passing last week, we got a lot of tunes he loved and that we could all appreciate.

I wasn’t even aware of the Shotgun situation until after the show so it didn’t really have an effect on me. I would still love to hear it, but I can’t complain cause during Space Between by friend’s wife started crying just remembering our late friend. She’s not a super fan, but knew that one very well and it held a lot of meaning for her (and for all of us).

They certainly flubbed quite a few intros but all in all it was one of the more memorable shows I’ve seen. Only two more left for me this year. I hope I just get Break for it and I’ll be a happy man.

Fuck I had a BLASTT. Could of been the micro dose or other things but wow. Didn’t look at any of the sets all year. Always love YMDT as an opener and then to hear the opening notes of dreaming tree for the first time since alpine n2 2012 was an experience! The run of dreaming tree, nancies, SUAD, stay or leave , crush totally exceeded my current DMB expectations. Some flubs for sure bit oh hey that’s live music for ya. All in all one of the best times I’ve had in a while

Dave just finished a private fundraising performance in Atlanta this evening for Stacey Abrams. The performance took place at Monday Night Brewing - West Midtown to a crowd of approximately 150 donors. The setlist was as follows:

The show was almost cancelled at the last minute because Atlanta PD were involved in a high speed vehicle chase when the suspect stopped at the brewery and was apprehended.

High speed Chase moment was scary. Car almost plowed into the group of us waiting to get in to the brewery for the event and there were lots of guns involved on both sides. Had to hide in the back of the brewery with Stacey Abrams’ team until we got the all clear. But, the show went on and it was a great event. Can’t believe I got to see Dave in a bar 5 feet from me. Met him after the event too!

Friend of mine’s wife campaigned for Stacey Abrams during her last governor run, they were donors and on her “list” so they sent me the invite to get tickets knowing I’m a big DMB fan.

Wow I was going to say this was logistically the best Lakewood show I have ever been to - zero lines to park, scary almost that the lots were that empty, and zero lines to get in. Incredibly fast for the first time I have ever seen.

We entered from the VIP lot side and the wait was terrible. I’d say 20+ minutes

Yikes, I feel that. I have horror stories there, but always on the free lot side ironically. Missed openers before, late to band sets, etc because it would take like half an hour or whatever. Awful. I did free lot Saturday and could not believe the lines were empty to enter the venue an hour after doors.

When we got in with warehouse we got the rail in front of buddy. We were very easily able to come in and out until about 715 then it got very tight and we all stayed put.
