Two things I heard on Periscope during the first 2 shows.
    1. So excited I get to see Tim Reynolds at this show!
    2. Holy Shit Rashawn lost alot of weight! Nm, he doesn't play keyboard.

Ooooh don't get me started! I work in child welfare... I also brought my daughter when she was very young to Coachella (properly ear-protected the whole time mind you) and SHE got voted one of the "40 Most Memorable People at Coachella" by LA Weekly that year. She's been all over the US, and she also now that she's 10 yrs old speaks almost fluent Chinese, is 2 grade levels ahead in Math AND Reading, and she was voted the #1 Best Archer in our entire state last year in her category of archery. And a blue belt in Judo. And she is hysterical, and she knows music from KidzBop to Marley to the Clash. The only day of school she missed this year was when I snuck her out of state to go to the opening of the David Bowie exhibit in NYC.

So YES, when you're pregnant seek me out! I've got stories and advice!

Not to turn this into a parenting thread, but that's the best part... I probably sound like the worst kind of "Tiger Mom", but we actually didn't set the bar high for all these things. We just provide opportunities and see what happens. And that's where it's all led her! But I'll leave it at that, and while I can understand thinking I sound obnoxiously tiger-mom-ish, I sincerely love offering support to parents (new or experienced), because I learn so much of the dos and don'ts through my work. Ok, back to music, but if you think you can suffer me, feel free to reach out if that time is anywhere near coming to pass!

Oh, I'm glad this was expanded to Periscope chats. Someone asked if Boyd was sick. I mean, I guess they are correct.

I mean, how dumb can people be really? And it's not like Dave doesn't Introduce Buddy a thousand times.

Even if Dave never introduced him, Buddy looks nothing like Boyd at all. Also Boyd can't even play the violin, how in the hell can he play keys?

These types of fans annoy me way more then people guessing the wrong songs.

Guy in front of me at the Woodlands lost his shit when #27 started. Which, don't get me wrong it's a fine song, but it was an interesting tune to go full jerk over.

He was turning to everyone around us and saying "got my 27!!!!, bro, got my 27 bro. I got it!!" I think he ultimately missed most of it amidst his jubilation.

This always cracks me up. Bro, if you're so excited to hear a song, shut the fuck up and listen to it!

Nooooo, you absolutely should NOT! So not my intent!

I just find a lot of parents, especially new parents, feel so restricted in what they can and can't do as parents, I like to share some of the less conventional things we do so people feel braver. I start wars all the time on music fan message boards about bringing kids to shows, there have been some DOOZIES.

But we all do the best we can as parents, and we all have nights/days/weeks/YEARS where we feel like failures. It happens to us all. But please don't feel that way cuz of what I wrote!

Ok, to turn it back to "Stupid things seen/heard at a show", I haven't seen any on this tour but I do remember a DMB fan traumatized by the fact that at a show maybe 10 yrs ago or so, they were standing next to 2 couples who were there together and the moment they went into "Crash", the guys sat down and the gals dropped to their knees and certain sexual acts ensued, all in the first 5 rows in front of the stage so the band could probably see if htey were paying attention.

I just never fail to be shocked that people don't worry about stupid s**t like that being captured and shared on 30 people's social media and them identified... once it's out there electronically there's NO taking it back.

Heard on the periscope some ass hole kept screaming for him to play “come on come on”
A song that hasn’t even been released yet....
After every song I’d hear him scream it

after at least a couple of the songs, you could see Dave visibly sweating (as usual), and the bros in the Pit (near where the dude streaming the show live on Periscope was standing) were like "DAAAAAVE NEED A TOWEL???"

I posted a throwback picture from SPAC last tour on Facebook, and some guy said "that's right when I yelled "Stand up SUCKS, Dave!" Um, Boyd was in the picture - how stupid can you be...

Pit people give people who appreciate the pit a bad rep...

From my experience.. If you spend hours in the pit line, youre either DMB Family loon or a bro/asshole, not much in between.

Heh. I'd like to think I'm neither, but I have sat in the pit line for hours - once. I wanted to make the best of it, what can I say? I also brought a book, though so maybe that makes up for it a little bit.

Last tour some jerk came up right before the encore and said "Sweetie, do you mind if I stand in front of you?"

Um, yes? Who would agree to that?

Was going to type 90% cause I know some people do it for the experience once

Nothing is better to me than having a pit, tailgating as long as possible and rolling in 10 mins before they hit the stage and chilling in the back of it

Glad I get to do that next friday.

The 'pit line' / rail line in Europe is 90% fun. A few idiots but the vast majority are chilled out and enjoyable company. And you're guaranteed rail
