Some Devil is really good, I personally get tired of the D&F sound live but that's not to say I don't enjoy it. For a full band the instrumentation just isn't my thing. Trouble and SoL were amazing so far.

I agree with you. Like it, not in love with the mix as much as I am with DMB in the same era. I guess I love LeRoi and the sax.

So happy I was wrong about them skipping the cover songs. But what will they cut then? The whole encore?

First time I've looked at the sets for the Fall 2003 D&F tour. We saw the opener in University Park...shortest set of the tour... I've had this misfortune quite a bit w/ the band, getting the shorter sets. That said, we've seen a few unique event shows...it's a give and take...

In comparison to DMB this lineup loses a lot of melodic instrumentation, while incredibly talented individually it's just electric guitars with occasional piano and audible acoustic guitar.

Per DMB Almanac if they did that, they’d save about 32 mins from the 133 that this show went, so that could go a long way to be how they get there?

This one is my favorite from that tour:

    http://dmbalmanac.com/TourShowSet.as...=77&where=2004

And I'm not stumping for it because I was there. I wasn't. I moved to CA after it happened. I just think they kept building up a head of steam as the shows went on and they played together more and more.

That was a really cool moment but N2 was great with the first BEF after it being teased and played over seas. so that was a huge highlight for me too. That two step intro was one of the last great ones too.

During that stretch, DMF made an appearance on Leno

Which, iirc, had the classic interview of Dave talking about the goat peeing its own mouth as Leno's other guests — Scarlett Johansson and the future 45th president of the United States — also stayed on the couch and listened

Re: Dave and Friends Bonnaroo 2004 show to be aired as part of Virtual ROO-ALITY

Seeing GGT in WPB '10 is still a highlight for me, love the tune and was shocked they played it, fun E1 for the first DMB weekend I ever really traveled for. Most Ants think it's a terrible version but I enjoyed it and still do.
