I enjoy that the Record Store Day snapchat story is just a single video of the Space Jam theme song

I was able to grab: Grateful Dead, Santana, Jason Isbell, SRV, Allen Toussaint & the Doors.

I really wanted the John Scoggins and Star Wars releases but store didn't get either. I may try to grab DMB in a few weeks when the prices start coming down a little bit.

I got the Star Wars 10" in my cart but keeps prohibiting me from checking out. I figured it would've told me by now if it was actually sold out.

Very pleased overall, I just prefer the sound of something like LT3 better. If this were the only DMB live vinyl, I would be beyond excited. Spoiled by riches at this point.
I would imagine that is just the recording itself. For being considered the mecca of DMB live releases, I've always felt and heard it the mix the same way you described. By all means it is not bad, but just not as full sounding as say Central Park. Drums are a bit flat in the mix and hollow, bass is a little low, overall not a lot of depth in the recording. It's a flat mix but does a fantastic job of mixing the whole band together, nothing is missing or stands out too much.

The 95 DMB sound though was very much this way though. It captures what they sounded like at the time. Almost all 95 tapes and releases have the same described sound.

Would love to get my hands on this vinyl someday.

So with RR out now, what would you guys like the see the release schedule be over the next few years? In a perfect world, I'd like to see the following

    Spring 2017: Red Rocks '95 4xLP (retail/black)
Fall 2017: Too Much/Jimi Thing 7" (Black Friday RSD)
Summer 2018: Before these Crowded Streets (20th Anniversary Retail)
Spring 2019: Live at Luther College (20th Anniversary RSD, Dark Blue Vinyl/Black Retail)
Fall 2019: Listener Supported (20th Anniversary Black Friday RSD)
Spring 2020: The Lillywhite Sessions (RSD)

Someone just has to convince Cap$haw of all the $$$$$ he could make off it

Seriously though, if this ever was released with a proper master, I'd do terrible things to get a copy

Anyone interested in trades from RSD?

    I've got Springsteen and moe.

Saw another user on here was looking for moe. so I picked it up. Sent a DM, but never heard anything back.

If not no worries, just wanted to give first opportunity here.

I would rather have a full album released than another 7". A 7" is such a waste of a special release. I wish they would skip LT6 and release LT7 on vinyl.

My "predictions" have come true so far, except for BTCS and a 2015 studio album - guess we didn't get What Album
the dates were a little off though

More than likely, I would guess they don't have a release scheduled for BFRSD anyways, just threw that there to bridge the gap between a spring RSD release of Red Rocks and the likely Summer/Fall '18 release of BTCS - that's a pretty long gap

Also, thank god they've upped the press counts compared to your predictions!

What would you like to see after BTCS?

alas, the price of being a completist. i spent $60 on a copy of r.e.m.'s terrible 'around the sun' just so i could have a complete album discography. and i left the price tag on the outer sleeve so i can remember my sacrifice with a helping dose of shame.

I'd be fine having a well mastered copy of it. There's enough songs that I would listen to if the sound was good. The CD is pretty compressed, think it has only a DR of 7; which is bad

I was out of town over the weekend and missed hitting up my usual RSD spots. I did swing by one on my lunch today to check if they had Red Rocks. No luck, but I did find a gorgeous copy of Bruce Springsteen's "The River", which I had been looking for, so I left quite happy!

I don't love the album, but I'd also be all over a properly mastered vinyl release.

Lillywhite Sessions, but it won't happen. I'm looking forward to Everyday, I enjoy the album.

I really want an RSD only release - something never released by the band. Pick a random show, release it for RSD. Like the bands first show - throw that on a 10" and drop that for RSD.

This is what I really want. Something akin to the Warehouse discs but specific to RSD. Or even just some of the short shows they played like NOLA 2010, Live 8 or Woodstock '99.

Rather than make it just for RSD, which would just lead to a bunch of people not able to get copies, flippers inflating the secondary market, etc, how about a release that's just exclusive to indie record stores?

(Personally that's what I think they should do with all RSD releases in general.)

Rather than make it just for RSD, which would just lead to a bunch of people not able to get copies, flippers inflating the secondary market, etc, how about a release that's just exclusive to indie record stores?

(Personally that's what I think they should do with all RSD releases in general.)
Make it the Warehouse gift (and announce it way ahead of time) and be set with it. Signups would rise, they'd know how many they need to press, all fans who want one could get it, and people who don't have a turntable or use for it could make a buck to non-fan record collectors

First night of Bridge School '06. Give a 30 day preorder window for Warehouse members and then press all of those plus another 1000 to send to record stores. Would be a nice single LP and the Dave/Neil guitar battle on Cortez was mindblowing. My single favorite DMB moment.
