Has anyone ever camped at the Darien Lake state campgrounds.

From a map it looks like it’s adjacent to the park but sometimes a map like that can be misleading. Is it walkable? Like in under 30 mins?

The closest hotel is a 2 1/2 hour walk and I just can’t see there being any Ubers or taxis. I refuse to not enjoy some drinks!

    Camping is on site. Other side of the park. Those green roofs and rv spots.

    So you can book one night at the state park and one night at Dariel Lake campground. It's roughly $30 vs $60 in Darien lake amusement park campground, but when I looked carefully at Google Maps, the entrance to the state park is on the opposite side of the amusement park. It looks like an hour walk, unless you can cut through the park. I think I'm going to stop being cheap and book the amusement park...

    Are the 300/400/lawn sections decent enough view and general experience-wise?
    Never been to this venue, and hoping this will be my first DMB show should my schedule hold up, after just barely missing them in Toronto last year. I haven't grabbed any tickets yet - ideally, I'd love to get a 200-section or better but if the prices stay where they're at right now I'm gonna have to think twice about that.

    300’s are decent. 400’s are a bit far and if I recall correctly they may not be fully covered when it rains (and it WILL rain!).
    Stay off the lawns for a whole bunch of good reasons. This is Darien. It ain’t Toronto!
