Re: New Remasters

These remasters make me so happy, I can’t begin to tell you how appreciative I am of them. Been going through 10.2.07, 1.17.15, and 5.7.16 a ton lately. Thank you!!

Xcacel & djamieb you both have been doing amazing work for this community, really appreciate all of your efforts! Thank you so much!

I would like to throw a request out there, 8.19.2008. Significant show for the entire DMB community and there is a Sirius broadcast to work from. Just a thought but hope you will consider it!

    In memory of Leroi Moore.
I have listened to this show a bit this week, and I have noticed some issues, mainly little breaks between tracks. They were present also in the sources I had, and could be due to the program originally used to split the files, or even in the original broadcast, that wasn't very precise in the transitions between tracks (they abruptly eliminate the 1 minute crowd noise that is usually between track, without any crossfading).
Since this show is outstanding, and very good in term of resulting audio quality, I have decided to start from scratch, in order to eliminate to at least reduce those issues.
Files have been reuploaded, so make sure you get the latest version.

    Re: New Remasters

Thank you thank you thank you Xcacel, this is really a special show. Sad and beautiful at the same time.
A best example of what music can mean to everyone, how it connects and how what the guys deliver that evening is simply everything that LeRoi stood for and (not only in this forum) also still does.
Those "old friend" lines at the beginning of Two Step. Wow, pure goosebumps.
Kind of feels like yesterday when I heard about it back then (sort of days later). This sadness accompanies the show, but makes it "twice as real". Exactly on that day one would certainly have understood well if they had canceled the show, years later one is glad they didn't do it.

The quality is GREAT again, have only partially listened to it so far, but so far everything is clear, balanced. Excellent.
Thanks also for post-editing, like the 2nd edition of a book, after proofreading. :-)

I particularly liked: two step, loving wings, dancing, everyday (I really liked this one)

    P.S.: I also pre-order a few t-shirts :-)

Can't wait to hear what you guys think!

Thanks very much! So glad you're enjoying them!

It's really fun to work on these, and I learn something new each time I work on a show with a problem to solve that I haven't encountered before. It's definitely good for sharpening our skills!

Very cool. Yeah just like with anything, experience is everything.

I was curious if you all ever thought about taking a crack at 7-7-12? I really enjoy the 7-6-12 one.

    Thanks!!
